Seems to be an extended version of tosec, but without their naming convention (nice, but not quite what i was asking for)

Re: I found a new site that has ST content as well as full t

Thanx Carmel, as said I was able to DL it in only 2 hours (with DL manager using 10 parallel segments) and my 2.5 MByte/sec connection. I browsed through it, and tried many images, mostly games. May say that most works, but some need smaller corrections (Steem says invalid image because size is non...

Re: I found a new site that has ST content as well as full t

Re: I found a new site that has ST content as well as full t

mr Zoll, perhaps you should switch to virgin media fibre optic service....good download speed, I got the file no problem in about 8-10 hours and no problem unpacking it (and i used flashget v173, aka flashget classic) The miggy one does take just over a day (since it is nearly 3 times bigger) I use ...

Re: Atari cd collections online

I think you miss understood what i meant by 'cd collections' What i meant is like ISO images of Atari collections, like vectronix, crawley crypt, Atari forever and suchlike I think A-F member Marcer or whatever his name was had an FTP site with that content on, but it seems to have gone away or diss...

Re: I found a new site that has ST content as well as full t

Use flashget classic (flashget v173) free as well, never had a problem with it

If you use that with 7zip you shouldn't have a problem (just don't use 7zip with win7, there are issues)

Re: The birth of Atari ST

Main reasons why the ST weren't that successful in the US Tramiel shouldn't have listened to what Atari France wanted (a floppy disk based ST), whereas Atari UK and Atari Germany were seriously pushing for a HD based ST, remember that at the time HD's were coming standard in PC's and mac's had just ...

Re: I found a new site that has ST content as well as full t

It's a 1TB drive with just enough free space to hold the TOSEC archives it's downloading. I've got a Synology one coming this week though which will have 4 x 2TB disks in a RAID 10 config. I'm not a linuxy person per-sé. I use different OS's for different things. Most of my work is Windows based so...

Re: Much more could have been done on ST

The NES got lucky since most of the NES developers were poached from the MSX consortium...since that had largely failed in the US and nintendo wanted in on the US market, since nintendo themselves had tried getting in on the US market by a tie up with Atari which came to nothing since Atari imploded...

Some ideas for Atari-Forum

Seeming as though this site is apparently the leading (or one of the most popular) Atari ST related sites, I had some ideas How about a section on games/non games software and other content like gfx/midi/audio/books or text/web content where people can download (free or paid for) ST content either f...

Games that were supposed to be good..... Two come to mind Giana sisters, I think they tried to pawn the ST version from the miggy one (gfx only) and forgot about the crappy scrolling (if you've ever played BROS on the A8 you'll know the kind of scrolling i am talking about), now if they'd asked some...

To asking a silly question, what percentage of all ST games released does Gamebase have or are we talking similar/same percentage as per TOSEC

Automation disk 500 Part A (disk 1 of 15)

What's the mystery behind this and why is it missing from every st online games collection known to man

Perhaps MugUK or some of the other ST games fiends can shed some light on this and possibly post up a linky to that particular disk

Strange, I thought silica went under twice...second time after they'd already been bought out by Anglo (or whatever they were called)

They were good people though....especially those that were based in TCR (tottenham court road)
