Re: Mister Safeshutdown possible?

There is no need for a safe shutdown, Sorgelig explained this elsewhere: It's not like raspberry pi. MiSTer normally loads with system mounted as read-only. Some computer cores open their hard file in read-write - this is the only file opened in write mode. Usually if this computer core doesn't wri...

Yes those parts are hard to come by nowdays due the popularity of the Mister FPGA. I had to wait 2-3 months to get my SDRAM board and it was worth the wait.

Re: Maximum SD card size for MiSTer ?

I just tried to use a 256gig SD card. It does not boot on the Mister. I used the SD manager and it completed the format and installation successfully? No errors. But when I try to boot. I just get very dimly lit leds on the board. My original 8gig is fine. No issue... I have tried a brand new 128gb...

Re: I/O Board

I’ve just replaced my combo io board for a v6.0 version because I also updated to 128MB SDRAM. I’m not totally sure about it but it seems that my Noctua fan is running quieter than before. I also noticed a jumper next to the fan power connector: is it a fan voltage selector? I haven’t found any des...

Hi, long time lurked and newb to mister. Pretty much as the title says, I have retrodrivens script downloading roms and the update.sh that downloads rbf files but it doesn't create/download official mra files is there a option in update.ini im supposed to enable so it does? Re: MiSTer on DE10-Standard - needed?

This is the current utilization: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wHetlC0RqFnBcqzGEZI8SWi6tlHFxl_ehpaokDwg7CU/edit#gid=0 You can draw your own conclusions from that. A portion of the utilization will be for framework-related items. The wild card is how efficiently-programmed they are, and wh...

I don't know if it can be fully completed but at least parts can be. Whether it's playable or not we will see. N64 a...

Re: A Couple of (probably dumb) questions

OK. I have *almost* everything working as expected, but there are a couple of things that are just head scratchers for me. Question #1: 1942 and 1943 -- I have roms for them and there are cores for them, but for some reason the updater isn't creating .mra files, so I can't use them? Question #1a: P...

When you run the mra file from the menu look for missing rbf or file not found on the rom zip. Missing file sb-9.mll for 1942. I confirm that I have 1942.zip Below is output. Re: Arcade cores

I believe sometimes the error message disappears before the video works on the core. If you ssh into your mister ps ax | grep MiSTer kill <pid from the ps command> /media/fat/MiSTer And you should get a lot of debug output. Or hook up the usb cable and run a serial terminal to see the output. Alan ...

Most bluetooth speakers have an AUX port, if you have an IO board you could just use a 3.5mm audio cable...?
