Re: New FPGA core Oric Atmos

Is it possible for HPS to convert the dsk type or is support for the original dsk planned?

Re: C64 Core

I use SidPlay64 as the sid player, but you're right, you have to pack the sids into a d64 because the MiSTer core doesn't support loading sids directly or mounting directories as d64s.

Re: Arcade Cores not loading

I have no idea what MiSTer VIP is but sounds kinda sketchy. I would recommend going with a recent mame archive from archive.org or another site, all of which have version numbers.

Hmm, not sure where that is from.

It only happens after the reclock commit. I think maybe some of the data is getting corrupted. Can you incorporate the crc in litex?

Just tried your sdcard boot and it worked. But it seems I lost the sdcard lottery. It only works at 400KHz.

Re: Attempting LiteX/VexRiscV Linux on Mister

Definitely not using software bitbanging now! Much faster. Should make testing a lot quicker! Hopefully you can make use of it. Code for hardware spi sd card bitbanging has been tested by enjoy-digital and merged into Litex! Currently runs at less than 90 seconds to boot. They are looking at recloc...

Re: Popeye arcade core questions

Hi, the last Popeye/Sky_skipper core is able to both 15kHz and 31kHz with correct sprite display. For 15kHz you need to set composite_sync to 1 in MiSTer.ini. and to set scandoubler to off in the menu. The signal is then interlace. For 31kHz you need to set composite_sync to 0 in MiSTer.ini. and to...

I found an alternative sid core that's part of the Mega65 project. Would there be interest to try and compare the one in MiSTer and this one? https://github.com/MEGA65/mega65-core/b ... d_6581.vhd

robng15, I think I will wait for official litesdcard support, since that is making some progress, and then I think I can implement virtual hard disk on top.

Re: Attempting LiteX/VexRiscV Linux on Mister

BRAM is more suitable for frame buffer. At first you need to decide what capability you need from frame buffer and how it will be reasonable. You won't need FHD True color frame buffer, isn't? I don't know how to make litex do anything less than 32bit color, nor how to map it into bram rather than ...

Using direct video, hdmi to vga adapter to RGBS crt monitor, all cores output perfectly, except Arduboy wherein getting a double image as per pic.

That's what happens when a core is over 240p.

I'm trying to get vga going next, then we'll see about integrating mister framework if possible. Hi sajattack I've managed to get linux boot from the secondary sdcard on the i/o board. Sadly, it isn't much faster than booting via lxterm. The code is on my github if it is of any use to you? The sdca...
