Re: Parallax Distorter 2

Thanks so much for testing! I have an idea (though I’m a bit surprised I coded it this way, and even more surprised that the emulators didn’t catch this). I’d love any help in Stockholm, especially with the floppies. To dig out the sources, i need the hard drives. I have a potential opening at work...

Re: Parallax Distorter 2

@evil, I found a potential reason why it could be different on real hardware, with respect to my setting of the hskip value on the first line. Could you try the updated version? Hi, I've tested the updated version, and the "left side buldge" is fixed. But the right-side "scanline end...

Re: Parallax Distorter 2

Hello, great work! Very impressive first Atari works, welcome to the world of racing the beam and counting clock cycles to death :) I've run your demo on a real STe, and it almost works. There is a blackout in the right border approx every 32nd scanline (have not counted exactly). In the left border...

Re: The SECRET VIDEO MODE in an ST: 400 lines in COLOR (and with 72 Hz)!

The STe have a VGA-adapter that can be switched between colour and mono then sent to OSSC on to a HDMI-screen. The OSSC nicely display the ST output frequencies and that matches what can be expected. You're not using my ubeswitch are you? It won't work with this mode.. No, I'm using the MCSWITCH by...

Re: The SECRET VIDEO MODE in an ST: 400 lines in COLOR (and with 72 Hz)!

The bad news is that it doesn't work on STe (two tested). The output is black. Even if the mainloop goes haywire and add.w $0123,$ffff8240.w in a loop there is nothing on screen. The OSSC reports 35.8 kHz / 71.47 Hz refresh rates. Yes, this is what I observe on my STE as well. Coming from mono mode...

Magic Synth 4.0

never published I guess

That's correct, Magic Synth 2.5 is available but it's without any DMA-synth.

Cool that you got it working Mikro.

I think that Apex (http://www.leonik.net/dml/sec_apex.py) will also let you use the ScreenEye to record video (and, edit it).
Apex ran fine on my CT60 with SuperVidel when I tried it a couple of years ago.

- The VGA-> HDMI DOES 50 & 60 Hz with no problem - The VGA-> HDMI DOES output proper 50/60 motion and does not blend frames - The VGA-> HDMI DOES pass the flicker test (Flickers, both green and purple) My theory (please keep me honest) is that the Monitor RGB output is progressive as most VGA r...

Re: RGB to HDMI does this work with a ST

All those cheap HDMI converters; I've bought a ton of them and none have done 50 Hz motion. They have either dropped every second field of the PAL signal or added a de-interlace that merges fields. Either way, the end result is 25 Hz motion. Not good enough. Excuse my lack of proper eyesight :) - s...

I'd like to have one of these for my Falcon.
However, according to the website there is only cabling for internal SCSI. I'd like it external.

Does anyone know how to get hold of a SCSI cable that fits the Falcon external connector and CosmoSex 3?

register ff820f is of a byte size for STE ( falcon has a different register which is of word size ) So does it mean that on STE there is a limit of a one shot playfield composed of 4 horizontal screens that can be hardware scrolled? Re: Screen issues with some demos on 1040STE

It's known that MPP (which is used in these two demos) is a bit too tight on timing so these infamous dots can show up. The way to get rid of it is to switch off the machine, and on again. And hope it will work. I tried Sea of Colour on a number of machines before releasing it, and it very rarely go...

Re: Madmax's tracker ?

I think for the early ones (Readme, LSD, LCD, SNDS, B.I.G.) it was mostly C-64 compositions. So as far I know, those songs needed no composition tool. Although the note-player needed to be remade for the ST and sound programming done from scratch as well. For newer original compositions (like Thalio...
