I can also vouch for "Daptors" working well. I don't use the Neo-Geo one, but I do use the db9 ones for Bally Astrocade controllers. They work flawlessly, and they are well supported.

Re: SDRAM board

Does the voltage matter on the 1uF caps? eg. 10v, 16v, 50v? I don't see it in the schematic, sorry. Generally as long as the voltage is above double the maximum that can ever be supplied for the circuit, you are in good shape (or so I have been told, If I am mistaken, please correct me!). Meaning t...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Hi! There's a freeware 4-player Wizard of Wor clone for Amiga, which runs well on a stock A1200, but not on the MiST (although didn't try the latest built of core). Perhaps this game is interesting for testing purposes, downloadable in multiple formats (lha, adf) from the author's site: http://www....

Welp, I'm an idiot. Just played it on my original console/cart and it plays exactly the same. sorry This is interesting (even though you've discovered it is original behavior). I just noticed that on the intro to Legendary Axe II on the TurboGrafx core, that the two battling characters are several ...

Re: Cray-1 source code

Could do some Tron level rendering on such a device with its vector processing support

I guess we’d need some nearly non-existent software though.

It’s quite cool to see this sort of thing. What was once a few refrigerators in size now fits in one’s palm.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Someone brought to my attention that the internet connection at 115200 bits/second does not work reliably when 256 colors are displayed. But since no one sane would use that many colors on the workbench, I guess we do not need to investigate the problem. Seriously? You do realize that this is THE mo...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Original code haven't finished cache update from "other" side. So i've finished it. Now any update of RAM from chipset side will update the cache as well. Because 64MB chip has 16MB per bank (unlike 32MB having 8MB per bank) there is a 8MB chunk in additional 32MB FastRAM laying in the sa...

Re: use the mister for a special mini program?

use the mister for a special mini program? How is that possible? Thank you. greeting To achieve this you have to mix in M&M minis while you compile. Don't use too many red ones or you may get runtime errors. I'm told that assembly is much more efficient, but then you have to source your own coc...

Re: Show us your MiSTer hardware setup

I got the bottom panel on last night, and the PCBs mounted to it. I thought I'd have some trouble getting all the extension cables to sit comfortably without having to rotate the PCBs to some odd angle. However, with a slight offset, I was able to get it to mount straight, and without too much of a ...

The ONLY thing that I'm jealous of with the Raspberry Pi is that it's so popular that for £10 have a wide selection of high quality made to measure aluminium/plastic/wood cases for the board. Me too! I'm glad I put the case together that I'm working on, but when I was looking around, I saw a TON of...

Also, if I had looked at the Terasic drawings and lined up one side of the IO to the rear panel (or even lai...

Re: Show us your MiSTer hardware setup

I quite like the look of that, it'll be interesting to see what it's like when it's finished. I do like cases that reorganise things like the USB ports into something more manageable and in a more console like setup. Once it's finished, it'll be interesting to know how much it cost you to buy every...

but Minimig didn't seem to like the images when I was done. Most often, such problems are due to differences when using uahdf.device on UAE, and scsi.device on "real" Amiga. One way to avoid this problem, is to tell UAE to emulate the A600/A1200 Gayle IDE controller (setting "hard_dr...

Re: C64 Core

Okay, that's interesting. Many of the tests I have entered in the table fail. And very often it said "old cia." Since my C64C showed the same errors, I thought to myself, this is because the MISTer core and my C64C have the new CIA and therefore the behavior is identical. I almost wanted ...
