Re: Commando Arcade in MiST

Thank you!

When the core starts the graphics is corrupted sometimes. After several RSTs from OSD it works.

MOVEC maybe?

Debugged this. It's the RTD instruction in mmu.library that tg68k doesn't support.

Some days later I discovered in the minimig/MiSTer thread that R4MS already tracked it down to this CPU instruction.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

(I sometimes have the issue that the Minimig core doesn't immediately boot, but needs an extra reset. I've sort of narrowed it down to "something about hard drive detection" with "newish" scsi.device, but nothing specific. This also happens with the MiST, btw) Happened on MiST a...

Re: MiST core and firmware changelog

A new compiled firmware is available in a pull request (see your linked thread) but this wasn't merged into the mist-binaries repo.

Maybe the firmware maintainers take care of the 3 new pull requests I created on Friday...

Re: FPGA64 - C64

Doh - forgot that I had flashed a self compiled firmware on my MiST... Sorry. :(

Tried again. Can confirm that it doesn't work with firmware file 190303 from the github repo, can confirm it works when recompiled.

Re: FPGA64 - C64

Works fine for me on my MiST with fw 20190303 and minimig core 20180525 (the dev beta release 1.2.3). Switching from A500/OCS/1.3/0.5MB Chipmem/0.5MB Fastmen to A1200/AGA/3.1/2MB Chipmem/24MB Fastmem and back. Sometimes after switching config the AMiGA doesn't start/hangs/gurus. Reloading the Kickst...

Re: MiST - new joystick/gamepad mapping

Thank You for instructions. However, after inserting hid_button_remap=0810,0001,51,9 hid_button_remap=0810,0001,50,10 into mist.ini, button 9 is still empty and button 10 is no longer detected. Best regards, Goran Aargh, button count starts at zero. Sorry. Try: hid_button_remap=0810,0001,51,8 hid_b...

Re: FPGA64 - C64

Tried again with decoupled 1541 and C64 clocks, and it works! Unless you're using JiffyDos. You have to return to original Kernal for this loader. Great! Thanks for looking into this! JiffyDOS gives some little compatibility problems on C64, more on C16/Plus4. Best use another game disk version tha...

Re: MiST - new joystick/gamepad mapping

Hmm, when you press SELECT or START two bits change. In byte 0 and byte 6. Anyway, you can try hid_button_remap=0810,0001,51,9 hid_button_remap=0810,0001,50,10 This should map SELECT to btn 9 (default: L2) and START to btn 10 (default: R2) -> https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/wiki/USBJoystick...

Re: FPGA64 - C64

Two things I stumbled upon with the current MiST C64 core: 1) The last paragraph about the C64 ROMs in https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mist-devel/mist-binaries/c321d5f92fa018f41b10825dc46d75092202cbd4/cores/fpga64/readme.md is wrong. The kernal+basic+1541 ROMs can be overriden by putting a new C64...

Re: MiST - new joystick/gamepad mapping

I have two iNNEXT NES gamepad clones, model number Y-D002-024. With MiST firmware below 190110 the default button mapping is weird, e.g. some buttons are recognised as two buttons, Y maps to nothing -> dead button. The following 4 hid_button_remap settings in mist.ini define the first 4 buttons with...
