Re: Display sync issue

Sorry for the late reply (lot of work at work :( ).

If you already have try the vsync values, perhaps you can try a 720p mode or even a custom video mode (but i m far from a specialist for these questions)

You can go to this site : https://ini.misterkun.io/ to generate different inis

Re: MiSTer frontend future

Well, in do not think the pb is to find a way to boot on one executable or another, imho it is more maintenance(/political?) thing : the repo owner/project leader wants to be able to maintain all contributions on, at least, the framework/menu (a dev can add something and go away without making any m...

Re: DB9 Vs USB game control tests

Well i prefer official hardware (well at least official support). You need specific version of the cores for DB9 support which is a pity (and for what reason, you already have snac support or can add it in the official repo). Personally, i prefer the versatility of the current official version (i do...

Re: DB9 Vs USB game control tests

AFAIK, the snac board is exactly that, a level shifter (5v to 3v). I think antonio include directly an equivalent to the snac board and put a db9 connector instead of a usb one (some board has also hdmi connector to use blissbox cable). Personally, i think i will buy a snac board at some point, to b...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Have you tried turning off cache chipRAM? It works for me. With the latest version everything is fine, but thanks for the response (perhaps this is already off in my config, i have to check that). @petarku : i manage to save some time to have a small minimig session and play canon fodder :) First t...

Re: GBA Core porting to Mister

Testing with a good BIOS on HDMI monitor at 1080p, sound via HDMI. It sounds horrible. Are there any particular settings to get good sound via HDMI for this core? Jean-Claude Change the monitor ;) Joke aside, i do not know if there is any particular settings for the sound but you have to consider t...

Re: Nintendo 64 and other later Gen Cores

someone is actually working on an fpga implementation of the psx: https://github.com/Laxer3a/MDEC What would be needed to bring this to mister? I'm willing to do the work myself, but I need some pointers as to what it takes to write a mister core. I have some experience with verilog and a lot with ...

I want first to thank you for taking time to help me with the problem. Will post minimig configuration when I come from work. Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Perhaps that the pb come from comparing a lcd and a CRT display for smoothness. A LCD can be smooth but with blur. If you can post a video it could help defining the pb.

You can also post your minimig configuration.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

i use the ascal scaler with hybrid scanline (bright soft in the recent pack). But what is a scrolling which is not smooth for you? You can try turrican, jim power, the pinball series to test the smoothness of the scrolling. Not every amiga game are 50hz. As far as remember, cannon fooder was not ver...

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

for a 1200p monitor, i use the following custom mode : fb_size=2 video_mode=1920,48,32,80,1200,3,6,26,154128 The fb_size shall be 0 (automatic) but there is (were?) a bug not setting it to 2 automatically IIRC. By the way, i try shadow of the beast 3 (Whdload from smokemonster pack) and after the in...

Re: New 4 LEDs diy lightgun system (with line of sight aiming)

i love lightgun games but i never check the different technologies used. I think the person developing the snac board managed to make dunk hunt work without led on a lcd (i imagine that only the white square surrounding the target count whether it is on a lcd or a crt, well more or less ). I thought...

Re: New 4 LEDs diy lightgun system (with line of sight aiming)

that is a very good price :)

I have some questions :
* is it possible to use 2 guns at the same time?
* is it possible (or is it plan) to support real console? i m thinking about ps1, saturn and dreamcast.

Re: MISTer (Main Core)

Perhaps it is a combination of my screen and recent changes (perhaps not so recent, i usualy use my mister on a 1080p screen so i did not detect the pb right away). Well the mode from JamesF is almost working, but no osd :(

Re: MISTer (Main Core)

i have a similar issue with my custom resolution for 1200p (1920,48,32,112,1200,3,6,32,154000). It used to work but now i have a blue screen. I try the jamesF's mode and the result is the same as JamesF : static screen and no osd

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

i never really was able to have to result of minimig/mister :
* the winuae filter/video options are, imho, a mess
* it can be difficult to have 50hz refresh rate

Winuae is great, but minimig/mister is very simple to use and the output (with ascal) is perfect without much hassle.

yeah, i can understand that people want to compensate the hours spent on this kind of project (hardware and software) but it is too bad that this knowledge will be gone once there would not be any commercial interest.

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Very difficult question: on one hand i would love to have to neogeo core with maximum game working, but mister is the best amiga i have ever owned. If lowering clocks does not affect ecs/ocs/aga games i can live with it, but changing all the clocks will break things don't they?
