Re: Show us your MiSTer hardware setup

If everyone started showing off the stock devices then it would be pointless isn't it? LL S**** is as pointless as your mister hardware setup photo.

ROMs are never going to be updated using a script. You need to provide your own since ROMs are copyrighted.

Re: VGA component output is tinted pink, any ideas on how to fix it?

Nothing definite about failing resistors. Recently MiSTer added the alt ini file, looks like accidentally choosing the wrong ini file will give the same pink tint. People with pink tint try this "To switch between MiSTer.ini and MiSTer_alt.ini you have to be on the Main Menu and press at the sa...

Your VGA plug is loose or something.

Re: MiSTer on DE10-Standard - needed?

Apart from the cores never being updated after the initial port, it doesn't have proper scaling. People who aren't aware of the original project will lets say not be impressed. Good chance of spreading misinformation. Hopefully there is a disclaimer in the beginning of each core that mentions the li...

Re: Newbie questions

@grandalf this might be totally wrong in your case but happened to me once when I started using the DE-10 NANO in the beginning so worth a try. Are you using the updater script to get the rbfs? If yes, ignore the rest, I dont know what happened. If you are manually putting the rbf on the sd card: Ar...

Anyways the story in the street is that the open core would be for Playstation One core which Analogue themselves are going to release, so good chance you wont miss the MiSTer cores in it.

To Kitrinx: So you feel like they are making money off you? Is that your main problem? And what cores have you done? She has contributed hugely to the framework and the NES core, mappers and display among other things. You really dont need her biodata :P If you want it, check her commits on github.

Re: MiSTer on Analogue Pocket

Sorry this is a bit off topic... How does the analogue pocket compare to the MiSTer?. What MiSTer cores could be ported? what do you think?. Analogue Pocket specifications are still unknown, Cyclone 10 has a lot of variety so this question cant be answered now. Unless the MiSTer devs are interested...

Re: Screen Flip? Rotate Screen?

Excuse me, I meant flip 90 degrees clockwise, not 180. My CRT is vertical for tate SHMUPs. Games you mentioned are all tate orientation, why do you need to rotate the image 90 degrees to play these games on your vertically oriented CRT? Also 90 degree rotation isnt possible without adding a framebu...

Re: Screen Flip? Rotate Screen?

Edit: I just released I dont know what the difference is. :/ What I mean is that if you had to rotate your CRT 180 degree to see the game in the correct orientation, then that can be achieved by flipping a plug in the chassis.

If you need to rotate the image 180 degree (upside down), you will find the option in the CRT chassis.

Re: rare arcade game not emulated anywhere else

Sorgelig, games like Pong or Taito Speed Race CLV both TTLs without roms which used 360 wheel continuous spinning wheel - is there no way of getting it running using say a mouse X Axis? Playing experience for the rotary encoder games using a dpad / Joystick is pretty poor.

From what ash has mentioned publicly, he is going to pick up PCE CD in the future. He is enjoying in Glasto now, I won't expect him to see these posts now till that's over. Also he has quite a few projects in the pipeline so expect delays I guess.

Does look like for the arcade cores coin and start p1/p2 can be mapped to other buttons on keyboard. Is it going to be hard to change this behaviour?
