Re: Nintendo 64 and other later Gen Cores

Looking at https://github.com/Laxer3a/MDEC/blob/master/hdlMDEC/DEV_LOG.txt the first line suspects that this is already targeted at MiSTer.

Re: Genesis Core

There does not seem to exist a technical description. But I found some reverse engineering attempt at http://gendev.spritesmind.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=579 with sample code at http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=30385 that made it into the Open Source SDK at https://github.com/Stephan...

Re: SNES core

I forgot to tell. Do not use PAL versions as this mode is not optimal (currently). So, re-test NTSC version of these games to make sure problems are still there. Pinball Fantasies works now (both NTSC & PAL), perhaps it needed a reboot between switchting games. The others show the same symptoms...

Re: SNES core

Hi, thank you for this amazing core! I tested a lot of games which work well, but there are also some with issues: In "Donkey Kong Country (E) (V1.1)", the backmost parallax layer is purple. "Dungeon Master (E)" only shows garbage in the main view when the game is started. In &qu...

Re: C64 Core

Is it possible to implement a 4 player interface? There are different kinds of them, but the most common according to https://www.c64-wiki.de/wiki/4_Spieler_Joystick-Adapter is the "Protovision / Classical Games" one. Pinouts are described here: http://hitmen.c02.at/html/hardware.html Woul...

Re: What is the safest way to shut down the system?

In the DE10-Nano_User_manual.pdf there is a button HPS_KEY with a sample application hps_gpio. I did not find this button on the board, but can we bind the button to a "shutdown" / "halt" / "poweroff" command in the Linux system?

SSH is documented in the Wiki: https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki/Network-access There were some Kernel options for Joystick polling added to Linux 4.12: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/commit/?id=933bfe4d271ef5931bc7513a1239751ed251db04 But our MiSTe...

Re: FPGA SNES source (srg320)

Yoshi's Island requires Super FX. In theory the necessary code could be fetched from https://github.com/mrehkopf/sd2snes/tree/develop/verilog.
