Re: Arcade cores

Current bat file for Superbreakout is wrong! It's instead from sprint1!

But built.sh / ini is correct. So you can get the correct filenames from there and make your own bat.

Just an idea, but why not use six different letters from six different plattforms running on MiSTer?

Re: Forced video frequency option: possible?

As you may know, some HDMI and VGA monitors work better than others regarding PAL-like frequencies near 50Hz. For example, I have seen monitors that just refuse to light up at certain frequencies near 50Hz, but work in another very near frequencies. You should try the new video_mode_ntsc and video_...

Re: Introducing alternative USB HUB Board

The MiSTer does not track mouse movements with a real Amiga ball mouse connected to the Retronic Design adapter into USB. But why use on old amiga mouse? Using classic DB9 joysticks is different, because it is a completely different feel. It is quite hard to play some games like Decathlon or Summer...

Re: C64 Core

Are you sure?

You don't need LOAD"*",8,1 for PRG (and never needed). That's only for D64, where you load the first file of the Diskimage.
For PRG you just need to mount it and type RUN.

If you got JiffyDos, you only need to mount the .d64 and press Alt + Esc

Re: C64 Core

Any suggestion for this dual-SID crazy stuff? A single SID can blow me away... I need to hear what's 2 SIDs like!! The current implementation is not ready for real dual SID stuff, because it is not possible to access each SID at different adresses. Currently both SIDs use the same adress, therefore...

Re: USB not always working

Hi, I have just set up my MISTer and generally its working fine. The one problem I keep getting is that when it boots up it doesn't see the usb keyboard. I have tried several OTG cables and several keyboards but I get the same result. It probably fails about 1 in every 10 boot ups. On one occasion ...

Flausch, I really like that. That is kind of what I was wanting to do, but I don't know enough about acrylic to try. Where did you find the plastic angle pieces and black acrylic? I basically want to copy your idea but make it larger and include all the things mine has in it. That would make mine w...

Re: Show us your MiSTer hardware setup

Some simple case I built for a friend's MiSTer. Just some acrylic, some plastic ledge (I don't know if this is the right word) and hot glue. But it looks better in reality than in these pictures: IMG_20190113_202837.jpg IMG_20190113_202825.jpg I will built something similar for my own MiSTer, but I ...

Re: Support for more than 2 controllers (Amiga, C64, NES, SNES)

I checked Bug Bomber and Carnage using two adapters with four joysticks.

Bug Bomber: No problem
Carnage: When I press the mouse button, one player rotates. But as soon as I press the joystick button, the car is controlled by the joystick again and works as intended. So... IMHO no problem.

Re: Support for more than 2 controllers (Amiga, C64, NES, SNES)

I am using a Logitech K400 keyboard, which has an integrated Touchpad as Mouse. I did not find a problem using 4 controllers with Dynablaster, which were connected through two of Donald's adapters. When loading Dynablaster I can choose in WHDLoad "3 Players" and "5 Players (joy. alt.)...

But there must be a difference, because my Ultimate64 works flawlessly with my display, while the MiSTer C64 core only produces an "out of sync" message since the last update when vsync is activated?

Of course I do use vsync_adjust=1
The problem is only on some cores like Minimig and C64. Others like SNES work.

After the C64 core got the new scaler with the last update, my display only shows a black screen, when using automatic vsync. The same happened to Minimig, when it switched to the new scaler. At the moment I see only two solutions: - using older core versions which don't use the new scaler - using v...

You are awesome, Sorgelig!

Now I am hoping for more core updates to support that.

Re: Support for more than 2 controllers? (p.e. Amiga, C64, NES, SNES)

Real usage of 4 player option is nearly zero. Of course this more "nice to have", than an important feature. But back in the days, it was something that was used more often than you think. And at the end 1-2 games per system.. It is not that rare. I count over 80 Games for Sega Genesis ht...

Re: 4 Players/Joysticks for Amiga and C64

I see. So first the firmware would need to be enhanced for supporting more than two controllers, then the individuell cores could be changed to connect these controllers to their inputs (parallel port, user port etc.) As I researched, there are other systems which could benefit of that too, like NES...
