Re: Newbie questions

Never had issues with Genesis, SNES, PC-Engine. You do have forced_scandoubler=0 In your mister.ini dont you? Might be an explanation if you don’t. What SNES core are you using (specific binary/release/source, please)? My mister.ini: [MiSTer] composite_sync=1 forced_scandoubler=0 How is your cablin...

Re: Newbie questions

@implodetee I have more or less the same setup. My only necessary change in mister.ini was to activate composite_sync=1 The rest can be left default. You shouldn't activate scandoubler with your setup. For SNES: You will need your games to be in the /snes folder and copy/rename one ROM to be called...

Do you have a link to this build? Thank you!

Issues w/ SCART output (via IO board/VGA) and certain cores (inc. menu)

Just got my 5.5 I/O board in and crafted together a VGA->SCART cable using R/G/B and composite sync from VGA pin 13 to SCART pin 20 ( based on the schematic here ). The VGA cable is a PC cable with full shielding. On the I/O board, I enabled sync on green and some of the cores look great on my BVM D...

8:7 aspect ratio support?

Random curiosity: why does MiSTer not seem to support 8:7 aspect ratio (NES, SNES, others, aka "pixel perfect mode")? I only see 4:3 and 16:9 as options. Not a complaint in any sense, just curious about the technical specifics for why this isn't an available option. Also, how would this se...

I have edited the Wiki. Please see the following link instructions will be there under "PPP connection ao486 Windows 95" https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_MiSTer/wiki/Internet-and-console-connection-from-supported-cores I've stated this in the Wiki and I'll state it here. It can be a b...

MiSTer ao486, Windows 95 and pppd/Dial-up networking to internet over TCP/IP (no success so far)

I'm running Windows 95 on the ao486 core (latest as of 12/7/2018) and am trying to get the pppd running properly so that the Windows 95 side can connect to the internet via Dial-Up Networking. I've tried both the native "PPP" setting as well as SSH'ing/serial console into the linux backend...

Re: Show us your MiSTer hardware setup

I decided to make my own SDRAM board (I've made two so far) and print the "MiSTer DE10 Nano Plates" by hugocraft on thingiverse. For the fan, I'm using a Noctua NF-A4X10-FLX 5V.

I'm really happy with this setup!
