Re: MiSTer Web Control demo

i thought is as like an equivalent of this. https://github.com/recalbox/recalbox-os/wiki/recalbox-Manager-Web-Oberfl%C3%A4che-(DE) But yeah, most of this can be done/shown via menu core. So no need for a WEB GUI. Then again. If you don't want / can't go CLI, this might be an alternative, without hav...

Re: HDMI ARC issues

The DE10-nano is not a consumer product, so it lacks some features. Keep in mind it is still a developer board. Maybe this fixable via software, but i doubt it. Or Hardware mod maybe? Don't know that. Does the problem still occur if you connect the DE-10 nano to the AV receiver directly? I know it w...

Re: MiSTer Web Control demo

I don't see this demo for controlling the cores, but how about file/rom transfer? For those who don't want to hassle/use scp and samba?
Or as GUI for the MiSTer.ini?

Is this kind of mod possible to implement on current MiSTer hardware regarding speed, fpga wiring, etc?
There is also the Super Mario World SA1 Enhancement.

These Mojon Twins and Radastan games have a very distinct and idiosyncratic look.
I once tested Sir Ababol. It looks nice, but could not get the hang of it to keep playing.

Re: Discover new content thread (Demos, mods, homebrew)

This mod looks and runs nicely. You have to manually set the core to Gameboy Color, but it's easier to rename the modded rom from .gb to .gbc. So no need to set the core.

Re: Possibility of Ports? Are they achievable?

Yeah true, it's commercial. And only arm port is the raspberry pi. There seem to be some open source pico-8 clones floating around and other fantasy consoles. Now i got struck with a really dumb idea. What about porting scummvm to the MiSTer. There are ports for Atari FreeMint m68000 and AmigaoOS4. ...

Re: Possibility of Ports? Are they achievable?

Gameduino never came to my attention. Looks OK.
The Pico-8 intrigues me because of the minimalistic approach. Be it the pixel look or the programming part. There seems to be a big homebrew and demo scene. I have no high hopes that somebody will port this. But i am glad i mentioned it.

Possibility of Ports? Are they achievable?

There are some nice ports for Cave Story. Would it be possible with the DE10-nano to port this? What i mean, is the linux/sdl ports running on the arm part and outputting video and audio via fpga. Yeah there are Amiga and Genesis ports of Cave Story, but i am curious about the portability and perfma...

Re: Discover new content thread (Demos, mods, homebrew)

Just wow, a Super Mario Bros Port for the C64 was released. You see the visual differences to the original, but still looks beautiful on the C64 port. Luckily the controls feel as tight as on the NES. I could only run the .CRT file. The .dsk file does not load. As stated in the forum post i linked t...

Re: External HDD / Retrode Cardridge USB Reader / Mister

Unfortunately none of the mounting options i tried would remedy the slowness. At this point the retrode can't be used productively. Here is the only information i found around the web, regarding slowness. But i am not sure if this explanation is legit. Raspberry Pi Slowness Issue solved « on: 06/Sep...

@mahen
I don't know the brand or if the display is used somewhere else.

I set the Amiga Profile to PAL. No problems observed when booting Amiga Desktop and Games.
Here are the infos of MiSTer on the picture:
The monitor itselft reports 51Hz

Re: Monitors supporting vsync_adjust=2

I bought this one a while ago as portable monitor for my ps4, because it is nicely light and flat.
I use it now mainly for MiSTer now. I never observed any tearing, and it is working with vsync_adjust=2 (except ao486).
I use only HDMI.

As far as i can see they are recognized. The are also somewhat customizable in the retrode.cfg.

standard is:
[HIDMode] 1 ;

0: Off;
1: 4Joy+Mouse;
2: 2Joy;
3: KB;
4: iCade

are there any mount options or switches i can try?

Re: External HDD / Retrode Cardridge USB Reader / Mister

I have bought a retrode and made some tests and observations. For the first part it is "working". The retrode mounts on /media/usb0. But it is not mounting every time. Maybe more power needed from the power brick or the USB cables have an impact. I will test other cables and power brick wh...

Re: Discover new content thread (Demos, mods, homebrew)

I am happy to report that the dump of the "Remute - Technoptimistic" Genesis Cartridge is working flawlessly on the MiSTer. It is reported to also work on the MegaSG. The Cartridge demands timing accuracy. For e.g. it does not work with the Retron5. See picture: retron_error.jpg https://re...
