Re: Hard Drive inside Mega ST4

Another suggestion is to go external. Need a case with a power supply and an ACSI cable.

Re: Hard Drive inside Mega ST4

You could put one of these in there with your micro AdSCSI: http://www.codesrc.com/mediawiki/index.php?title=SCSI2SD I have an older version of it and I was able to get 4, 1 gig drives out of it on the same SD card. I did not put it in a Mega ST, but I suspect it would draw no more power than a vide...

This project started in April 2018. 1 year and 7 months later, nothing has been shipped to date. It is kind of making me wonder.

Re: TOS 1.04 US 2 Chip 28 pin Available (New Old Stock)

Met up with Bruce from B&C Computer Visions last night. He only lives a few miles from me. You may or may not know this: He told me the story behind why Atari changed TOS 1.4 to 1.04. When the STE came out it had TOS 1.6, then a version update to 1.62. Atari decided since there were two digits a...

Also without a floppy Drive, it can take minutes to get to the desktop instead of seconds.

TOS 1.04 US 2 Chip 28 pin Available (New Old Stock)

B&C Computer Visions (myatari.com) has them after I pointed out they were missing from their webstore on eBay. Direct to eBay Auction https://www.ebay.com/itm/Rainbow-TOS-1-4-1-04-US-for-the-Atari-Mega-ST-520-1040ST-2-Chip-Mask-ROM-ICs/133230528296?hash=item1f05288728:g:okYAAOSwn~tdwdit B&C ...

Re: Want to Buy 1 working Mega STe Keyboard ($150)

CosmosEx (which is a floppy and ASCI hard drive emulator) has a USB keyboard & mouse option for MegaSTe. Yes they are expensive but if you add the price of an UltraSatan + Gotek + MSTe Keyboard adapter then the price isnt too bad. http://atari.sk/cosmosex-3-0/ I have a Mega ST keyboard I am cur...

Re: Want to Buy 1 working Mega STe Keyboard ($150)

I have a Mega ST keyboard I am currently using for my Mega STe.

My search is not to have "any" keyboard for my Mega STe, but rather to have a Mega STe keyboard for it.

Re: FOR SALE: MEGA STE Keyboard

I was told by someone at B&C (forgot his name) that some early MSTEs were shipped with the Mega ST Keyboards. This is a Mega ST keyboard, but could very well have been shipped with a Mega STe. So I will wait for later style of the MSTE Keyboard.

Re: Hardware Project: Is this even possible?

… All gfx solutions for ST(E) are old and hard to find today, and if you manage to put your hands on one, you are pretty much alone with it, which I think is a turnoff for many.... I have to agree with this. There does need to be a new solution. So if anyone goes after a new gfx card, please includ...

Re: Hardware Project: Is this even possible?

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I can see that some of the items may not work through VME. It was a huge wish list. But the main purpose was to try to combine some of the items that get installed the same way, i.e. 'remove processor, install board, replace processor' . In this instance it would be ni...

Re: Dust cover for Atari.

I have the dust cover for a Falcon from Best. Sorry no pics at the moment.

I also have 5 STs (TT030, MSTE, 2 Mega 4s and a 1040STFM) set up on a very long table. I use two bed sheets to cover those. Cool thing about the bed sheets is that they keep dust off of the table too.

Hardware Project: Is this even possible?

There have been lots of hardware projects in the past that add great things to our STs, but I always felt they did not go far enough. Or it has been like: you can have this one, but because you chose that you cannot have this one. So you have to choose between great items and are not able to take ad...

Re: WTB: Atari Floppy Power Supply (US, Male Connection)

I got home yesterday and found that this idea will not work.

The female power connector on the drive has 7 positions, not 5.

Now to check into possibly changing out the connector on the drive to fit a 5 position Male connector. That is if I cannot find the power supply I need for it.
