Re: TOM2+ USB mouse dongle

The TOM2+ adapter I got on Ebay just seemed to work with both the Logitech wireless mouse I have and the ST mouse plugged into the game port.

MonkeyJack RGB/CGA EGA YUV To VGA HD Video Converter Board HD9800

So I purchased an Video Scaler Board for my Atari 1040ST from Amason at https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0727N97JC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Based on the YouTube vids I have seen, it looks like this converter should work but I have been unable to get it to function correc...

Re: Ghostlink: Alternatives?

I have always run GhostLink on my raspberry pi with DosBox. Just need to point the COM1 port to /dev/ttyIUSB0 in the DosBox configuration file.

Re: HxC External floppy cable, works as A and B

So Indexed mode does not seem to work well on my HxC and my 1040STF. it only seems to function correctly in Autoboot mode as drive 'A' Looks like I will have to change the W2 Strap to be on pins 1 & 2 for the HxC to work correctly. I guess I could also just install the HxC inside as drive 'A"

Re: Writing Atari ST programs onto floppies with PC

AlexH - I would be interested is seeing details on a "USB to Serial port" solution. I have used SIO2USB cable on my Atari 800 XL (running RespeQT on a Linux PC). It works very very well. It would be very cool if someone had a similar solution for 16/32 bit Atari systems.

Re: HxC External floppy cable, works as A and B

I was able to get the cable to work without changing any straps inside my 1040STF. The GoTek/HxC works well as drive B and the internal floppy is still Drive A. The only little issue I have is that I have no way to update the 'slots' in the HxC. I have to open my 1040STF and plug the HxC into the dr...

Re: Writing Atari ST programs onto floppies with PC

I purchased a USB floppy drive on Amazon that supports DS and DD disks for my Ubuntu laptop. First - I format the disk on my 1040 STf then stick the floppy in the USB drive. I use the linux dd command to copy .st floppy images onto the floppy drive. Works well if the .st image is valid: $ sudo dd if...

Re: HxC External floppy cable, works as A and B

So based on the Googleing I have done it sounds like this "should" work. It sounds like the W2 strap inside my STF needs to be set between pins 1 and 2. This should select the internal drive and SD1 and the external floppy port as SD0 (my GoTek). I have read about other installing a switch...

Re: HxC External floppy cable, works as A and B

This looks very cool! I have ordered a 14pin Din and ebay and have a 34 pin floppy extension cable. Has anyone had any luck getting this to work with a GoTek USB Floppy Emulator?
