Re: Amstrad CPC Core

You are right Sorgelig. That's war I used to do but it's not working anymore. Even If i ADD a file its not possible to click on ".." (simply nothing happens). In previous releases I could go out and back in and everything was okay. Now nothing happens until I reload the Core or sometimes r...

Amstrad CPC Core

Hey Sorgelig, thank you for the CPC Core. I'm having a lot of fun with this little Core! Since the last update I've got a strange behaviour. Sometimes when I mount a disk the first time I get "Disc is missing", unknow, retry, abort etc. when typing CAT. After mounting it again it always wo...

Re: ao486

Thank you all! @mbramwel: 1) The partition was already active. I formated with /s and also tried sys c: and also used the full setup of ms-dos. 2) fdisk /mbr did the trick!! -> it's strange. I never had to do this before on real dos / hdd systems. Thank you! @sorgelig: Thank you. Problem was solved....

Re: ao486

I checked it, but MS-DOS 6.2 don't offer marking a HDD bootable in fdisk and I also don't remember doing it. I also ran the whole ms-dos setup disk's which formated the HDD and did everything during the setup. Or is only free dos working? P.S.: I could send you both vhd's if you want. They are 5MB c...

Re: a0486

Hey there, today I wanted to try the ao486 core but I can't get the .vhd HDD to boot Its saying "Booting from Hard Disk..." and shows just a blinking cursor. I created a 512MB .vhd with Simple VHD Manager from Sodrom in Windows. I installed DOS 622 and formated the drive in MISTer. It work...

Re: If you want to donate to MiSTer project.

I've got a question! If I donate to you... it is asking me if I pay for goods and services. Its checked by default. And it says that I'm protected then (which I dont need?). If I remove it, they charge additional round about 4 Euro. (3,99)??? If I leave it nothing will be charged. But I wonder if yo...

Thank you! :)

Minor bug: If you don't provide a boot.rom, reset from GUI doesn't work anymore. (delete boot.rom from c16 folder)

Re: Commodore 16 / Plus4 Core

The C16 / Plus4 cannot be switched between PAL and NTSC. You'd need different MOS chips inside for that. Is it currently running in NTSC mode? I also noticed some freezing in some games. "MAC, I" or "Mad Mamba" (all packed from 1988 CST, if you enter LIST). Maybe that's because o...

Commodore 16 / Plus4 Core

This Topic is for C16/+4 FPGA Questions. I'll start right away. The changelog shows that a reset has been improved. What was the original problem? I have noticed that a reset always erases the memory. If I press Runstop while doing a reset to land in the built-in machine language monitor and enter M...

Thank you Sorgelig. I was on 1080P@60 I tested your new MISTer file and its better now but still occurs every ...8-10 seconds or so (instead of every two). Now i changed to 720P and its complety smooth! Interesting. So I think its still a little bit off in 1080P or its my TV which on the other hand ...

It's working (MISTer) but I think it's the same on MIST. Just load with the EP commands as described above. To switch the disk's do the following: Hold F7 and press Space. My second LED on the keyboard starts flashing. You can release all keys now. Now press the desired Disk Number 0 = Disk 1, 1 = D...

Re: Checksums for Arcade Rom's (MD5)

Hi Sorgelig, I did it for bagman. I tried to use no additional checksum tools. So I used cerutil which is included in windows. Here is my example code. If you like it I will implement it in all Arcarde core batches. You can manipulate the md5 checksum in the batch to force an error if you want to te...

Checksums for Arcade Rom's (MD5)

Can someone create a MD5 or CRC32 checksum list of the arcade roms? I had problems with Galaga, then saw at youtube that other's haven't had these issues in the game. I then tried a different set (same name) which gave me a bigger Galaga rom file. But both went without errors in CLI! So now I'm wond...

Thank you for clarification, Sorgelig. I thougt the connection can be emulated through linux and arm you we're talking of in old thread's. But Arduino seems a simple workaround too. By the way, the webpage has a 404 Error, when you're looking for the schematics. https://github.com/MiSTer-devel/Main_...

Since I/O Boards are rare and more complicated to create...
...would it be possible to use a USB SD-Card Reader as a secondary SD Card?

It would be very simple to use for everyone and USB might be fast enough for Data Transfer?
