Re: Mac Plus help?

Basilisk patches a bunch of traps and installs drivers to get almost all the features working. I would like to keep my days of writing 68k software behind me. I am thinking if we can get fetch working it might be the best solution. Because it expects to connect to a Unix server. It will try to do t...

Re: Mac Plus help?

Ash added a second vhd support. I need to check on it. I think serial (and therefore ppp) is the next most important thing. Any better way to get files on it would be great. I will look at the other suggestions. Serial UART support would be awesome. Thanks for looking at it! While messing with the ...

Re: Mac Plus help?

Any instructions published anywhere to do this .. I need to know this dark magic.. So, who is using BasiliskII on the Linux side of the MiSTer? How does one go about setting that up? I assume one has to install the XFCE desktop package for a GUI on the Linux side of the MiSTer? I'm completely lost....

"no version information available" warning is normal and is not the problem.

INI option "FIX_MISSING_LIB_VERSION_INFO=TRUE" can eliminate that error at the cost of installing some redundant libs.

Are you on the latest SD installer?

Re: FX CAST Atari ST core

Are you really going to use Cubase on the Atari ST core on MiSTer? But I know somebody who is looking to use Mister on stage in place of its original Atari ST mainly to get rid of its heavy CRT monitor and also to preserve the Atari ST from transportation aleas! The biggest limitation right now wou...

Re: Mac Plus help?

I think I had to use Basilisk II to mount stuff and move files around .. I created a machine in BII and would mount any disks/hard drives of interest, I also mapped a local disk folder on my computer to a folder in Basilisk .. so I could migrate files .. vMac also comes in handy for testing in a B&...

I found the way Binary did with ScummVM and Doom a bit convoluted, You download a script, that download a bunch of deb packages (most useless one's that never gets used, like libgl, libcaca, directfb and x11 related), that gets decompressed and installed with some hackery, then throw you back to the ...

Have you tried switching the USB ports you are using or tried a different keyboard?

Do you have anything else plugged in that might be flooding the USB bus?

Re: ScummVM running on FrameBuffer

ANYWAY my question is the following : quite a few games have a better MT-32 soundtrack. Munt cannot be used ATM due to performance issues. -> would it be possible (?) to raise the priority of Munt ? Or to increase some buffer or reduce the sound quality or something ? MUNT internally has some optio...

you may be interested in trying those soundtracks : http://gansweith.freehostia.com/midi/MT-32-MIDIFILES/ They clearly don't play properly from Minimig + Munt unfortunately. Yes, I did try several MIDI players (midiplay, the camd library player, and others, which supposedly support SysEx). For Dune...

Re: How-to for playing Null-Modem Games over LAN with two MiSTers

I assume that I have to hardcode the IPs of the opposite MiSTer as UDP-Servers in midilink.ini. What else does it take? Could anyone point me to a How-To or compile a short one? I am sure others would be thankful as well. You'll also need to set (in the .ini) USB_BAUD = 1200/2400/9600/etc. dependin...

Hi ! - are "sysex" supported when using Munt on the Amiga side ? I tried several MIDI players from Aminet which are supposed to support sysex and the MT-32. I tried to throw the Dune 1 and Dune 2 MT-32 Midis at them and it clearly sounded very bad / kinda random at times and off all the t...

Re: How to read memtest utility?

I did read all that first but I'm having trouble understanding the numbers. For example, why are there letters in the numbers? The numbers (aside from memory speed) are in base 16 hexadecimal or "hex" which is used for sciency type stuff. Hex uses letters A-F (to represent 10-15) in addit...

That was my experience as well, at least in central new york, 486sx25 chips everywhere, which was odd, as they weren't all that much faster than a 386dx-40, given the price delta... The 486sx was commonly paired with the (P24T) "Pentium Overdrive" socket which contained an extra row of pi...

The Value Edition does not come with 3.x kickroms, so Plus is the smallest package having all the ROMs you want. In addition you get legal Workbench images and other goodies, like the original boingball demo disk as adf if you just want the legit ROMS for $1.99 https://play.google.com/store/apps/de...
