Re: 1920x1200? Rotation?

Not in some easy way, no. In theory one could make a driver which allows for this, but that either means going through hell to reimplement everything or to sacrifice quite a bit of performance.

It would be awesome to have such a feature though, obviously.

I have an Original of my Atari ST Diagnostics Disk, I have used a disassembly program in e public domain to produce source code for it, my original went bad months ago, it was made by PCA Progressive Computer Applications, I have an old backup that will not run but has the complete program on it. Re: Mega STE Joystick Port

Hello, I was trying to make my own PS2 controller to atari joystick adapter using Arduino and while the directionals worked perfectly I couldn't get the fire button to work. Looking into it with my trusted volltometer I noticed that the Mega outputs a 0.3V current at pin 6 every few milliseconds wh...

No. You either need to use RGB or a 25MHz bus speeder.

Re: New SuperVidel & some ideas for future development.

One thing that would be nice is a patch somewhere (not sure where it needs to be) so that icons aren't white blocks in 32bit color at 1920x1080. I leave it at 16bit color due to this. I think this might need a patch in TOS or probably a newer desktop.rsc that I haven't seen (or is it deskicon.rsc, ...

Re: Beginning of very long journey

I agree with option C. It makes sense to migrate to the actual standard connector for VGA. The external clock line is needed by peripherals such as Screenblaster, but I guess another way to achieve that is to put an oscillator on board instead, preferably a programmable one.

Frontier doesn't use the FPU. Not sure it copes with fastram out of the box, but it can easily be patched to do so.

I think you may need to replace the CPU. Possibly you mat also need a different keyboard layout.

Make sure to have plenty of hot water available.

Re: Beginning of very long journey

There are similar projects for the Amiga. The user is obviously expected to cater for chip transplants, but then again you have a fresh motherboard..

I think it’s a good idea to do one thing at a time, and add/change things as the design evolves.

Re: ZXR 0.1a (new Speccy emu)

Do you think about implementing a GEM output mode some day? EDIT: BTW, do you use YM for sound, or you have an AY software emulation? I use the YM for sound since it’s 1:1 compatible. This implementation does not support sampled sound on the ”AY” however (hence I added Covox support instead). For G...

Re: ZXR 0.1a (new Speccy emu)

Very nice! I'll need to try that on Hatari. A few years ago did you convert James McKay's X128 V0.5 to the Falcon? Yes, that was me. IIRC x128 works really well on a 060 class machine, and it runs nicely in a window on FreeMiNT/XaAES. Not everyone has a 060 machine though, hence ZXR was born. Syste...

In some cases, yes. It doesn't support paging however.

So lack of paging rules out 128k systems I guess?

Maybe not forever, but it's probably on the bottom of the list.
