Re: New SID 8580 implementation for the C64 core

Hi Slingshot, I've just tested your new C64 core with OSD-switch of SID 8580|6581 via different music disks and tunes. I have to inform you that 8580R5 in this core sounds harsher and without appropriate depth than in Gehstock's core patched by Rayne with his SID8580R5 reimplementation from first po...

Here's a new release: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-binaries/tree/master/cores/fpga64 The sources are returned to mist-devel, too: https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-board/pull/64 Great! Thank you Slingshot for support of MiST and its community around it. It's time to test new fixes and featur...

Having the same problem with this core as I do with the PC Engine... lots of my ROM images simply do not show up. This core uses *.bin-files only as format for rom images. Plus try PageUp & PageDown to navigate faster through list. SBWin converts between popular formats of Megadrive rom images....

Re: New SID 8580 implementation for the C64 core

Just quickly compiled new SID. Yeah - that's really very similar to 8580 by timbre. Original one is close to 6581 which i personally like more. I think it would be good to have a switch between them. Or probably it's possible to use the same SID core with just different filters. Sorgelig , it's nic...

Re: Amstrad CPC 6128/664 (NEW)

Are the files (in the root directory) from the „old“ CPC core not compatible? I don‘t understand: „place RBF and amstrad.rom into root of SD card“ and „Boot ROM has following structure: OS6128 + BASIC1.1 + AMSDOS + MF2 + OS664 + BASIC664 + AMSDOS + MF2“ i don't know what can be easier than just put...

It would be nice if you could implement the emulation of the original SID6581  I'm simple mortal and user like you but maybe a little bit curious. All credits goes for Rayne for NEW SID(8580R5) reimplementation. So just ask him at https://mist-fpga.net/viewtopic.php?f=17&p=1992&sid=5...

Good news! Amstrad CPC is very underrated 8bit computer on Z80. From hardware side, CPC is superior to well known Speccy in UK. Modern CPC demos are powerful enough to take this platform seriously( Amstrad CPC 6128 ). Prehistorik II, Gryzor , Renegade, Trantor, Lemmings, Bubble Bobble, Savage, Megab...
