River Patrol
Silver Land
new arcade cores - no schematics, so colors are patched and might not be right. Drop me a note if you find schematics for either.

Re: Arcade cores

Thanks Lightwave, good point. Obviously game roms are what they are and it is up to platform to rotate or flip the image. I wonder if supporting cores include gpio to connect dip switches as they used to be present in original cabinets on the original platforms. Ideally those gpio's should be carri...

Re: Arcade cores - Vertical mode

I believe they did that originally. Look online and see if there are any “dips” or settings called “flip”. If so I will try to hook them up. Nope, there is no "flip" nor similar setting for it, at least in the MISTer load menu.: He means check if the option exists via a dip switch or serv...

Re: Arcade cores - Vertical mode

Hi, In past few days I have through building rom files for all supported arcade cores and found handful of games when in vertical screen mode showing picture rotated clockwise (vs. most games rotate ccw): Colony7 Dorodon Eeek Moon cresta Omega Sinistar Super Breakout Any plans to have these rotated...

Fixed sprite bug that Jesse found. I wasn't good enough to get to the third level. But with a lot of practice, I was able to reproduce and fix the bug.

Apple I
fixed the ascii loading. It seems to be better. It crops off the last character. Could be better.

Re: Apple 1 core?

I ported this over to MiSTer quickly. I am wondering if we can just read the text files, and have it simulate the keyboard. It looks like the ps2 adapter just switches it to ascii. This might be really simple. I am going to take a pass at it when I get some more time. I will put the source in githu...

Apple I
new core - has the start of txt file loading code. This part isn't fully working yet. The rest of the Apple I should work.

Interesting. Load is implemented. Not save.

Re: Has the HT1080z/TRS80 Model I core been ported from mist? (not coco)

To get it to work in the ht1080z we need to implement a bunch of hardware on the Tandy side. I am working on other things now. See if the original core author wants to do it. Hi! I asked the original author (József László), who is currently not interested in improving his cores. Feel free to add th...

Re: Compiling code for DE10-Nano/MiSTer

Is there available any zipped project file that I could load into Quartus (I'm using Quartus Prime 18.1 Lite Edition) and compile it? I get the error that build_id.v is cannot be opened (I guess it's not there)? Before I can start playing around with cores, I really need to be able to compile an al...

Re: Has the HT1080z/TRS80 Model I core been ported from mist? (not coco)

No need its already baked into the UART MIDI stuff already in MiSTer.. (oddly its part of the software MIDI stuff), just need to "wire it up" in the core to the existing UART presented by the MiSTer (like in the Atari ST, C64, AO486 and Amiga cores already do now), its called Midilink and...

Re: Has the HT1080z/TRS80 Model I core been ported from mist? (not coco)

Works well enough for me .. id say its fine for a 1.0 but I haven't done a massive amount of testing outside of a few games that I used to play the tar out of back in the day .. but at least if the core is in the standard repo it might get more visibility from people who are far more intimately fam...

Ok thanks for the response (and your work on the core!)!!! Do you think it is working well enough? I find the disk loading flakey. But I am not sure if that is because I don’t know how it is supposed to work? Works well enough for me .. id say its fine for a 1.0 but I haven't done a massive amount ...

Re: What does "Update framework" mean?

I notice that often updates to core have "Update framework" in the description. What does that mean? Thanks One of the things that makes mister so great is that each core shared a “framework”. The framework includes code that should be the same or almost the same for each core. Examples i...
