Re: 520ST External Floppy only

I'm in the same boat as nico24, I bought a very old 520st with no internal floppy and the seller didn't have the external floppy for it. I was thinking of just buying a ultrasatan and living without the floppy drive, but I haven't found instructions on how to make it bootable without copying the dri...

Re: BBC Micro

I grew up with the BBC Micro and really love that computer. It is insanely expandable, want an extra external CPU dangling off a ribbon cable? no problem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8UtnKWmstA :) I never heard of the Music 500 / 5000 system before now though, that would have completely blown m...

Re: MiSTer for Dummies

I shelved my first de10-nano for a while after lots of fruitless troubleshooting, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. But seeing all the progress made the last couple months on making the HDMI output more compatible with various displays I gave it another go and still couldn't get it to wo...

Re: MiSTer for Dummies

I am not trying to use USB storage! All that is connected is a HDMI display and a USB keyboard (and the network). Those messages are maybe misleading and just displayed if device.bin exists? The SD card was created with the windows utility, but I get error messages on two different microSD cards and...

Re: MiSTer for Dummies

I am having difficulties booting my MiSTer, I have gotten to the menu once but the "snow" in the background eventually froze and since then I don't get any HDMI output. But the original included microSD still boots fine to the graphical Linux desktop. I hope I haven't permanently damaged a...
