Re: PH Gmap - Google maps, Street View, Routes, GPX & more

Does your application register with the AV server by sending the AV_PROTOKOLL message? If not, that is probably where the problem is. You need to let the AV server know that you support and/or use quoted filenames. Yes, it does. And I assume you've read section 15.1.1 "AV protocol, Quoting in&...

v1.29 is on your FireBee MiNT setup. You got it together with your FireBee.

Yep. And there's even a nifty application to switch between the two so you don't have to edit config files.

But it says the features are between 1.27 & 1.29 8O :roll: ..... so why is it called 1.50 ??

It would have been quite confusing to call it 1.28, since it was released about 15 years after 1.29 :)
And wasn't TOS 3.x released before TOS 2.x?

A clean desk. I like it. Quite similar to my desk, but with the FireBee on the left and the PC on the right. What's with the white thing above the right monitor though?

A couple of comments: Thing, at least version 1.29, supports LFN, but only up to 32 characters long. Version 1.50 was since released from the GPL'd sources but it doesn't run on my Firebee so I don't use it.

Re: Hades and Netsurf

I think your are right. I have test under MiNT 1-18 or 1-19 with XaAES (with all desktop: Teradesk,Thing, Jinnee). Very often, when the file ns020.app is launched, the top menu appears, but unfortunately no window to browse the web anymore, the mouse goes through the screen, but nothing I can do, I...

I've used 256 colour icons with Thing! since 1997 or so. Please tell me how! :) By using an ICONS.RSC with 256 colour icons. Running perfectly fine on my Milan in 1280x1024 in 16 bit. Never tested with 32 bit. If the colours are all wrong then put a file "icons.pal" in $THINGDIR. The stan...

Than there's the Thing Desktop. That's a wonderful desktop for sure. I like it's functionality. It's perfect for me but it's not capable of using modern icons of 256 colours. I've used 256 colour icons with Thing! since 1997 or so. I never could get Thing to display 256 colour icons properly. Proba...

You can avoid the call to srtcpy with:

Code: Select all

*s = '\0';

And don't forget to check the return value of the strrchr call.

I noticed Armin Diedering still has Resource Master for sale at http://www.ardisoft.de/Produkte/produkte.html. Page was last updated in 2010, but I've emailed to ask if it is still sold. Awaiting his response. *Edit* His homepage update from 2008 say it is freeware. :?: :?: ResourceMaster (RSM), Di...

No I was thinking to a famous guy at FCSA that wrote so many message if you see what I want to said! If I may intervene here: Olivier is speaking of an (ex) Atari programmer who is obviously mentally disturbed and who has been flooding the Atari French Usenet group with nonsense for years. There's no reason why Netsurf shouldn't run on the Hades. It must be a software problem. What is your config and what exactly doesn't work?

Font antialiasing has nothing to do with the AES. It's a VDI feature that depends on the screen driver. You can have antialiasing with XaAES too.
