Re: MyAES is here!

I've used 256 colour icons with Thing! since 1997 or so. Please tell me how! :) By using an ICONS.RSC with 256 colour icons. Running perfectly fine on my Milan in 1280x1024 in 16 bit. Never tested with 32 bit. If the colours are all wrong then put a file "icons.pal" in $THINGDIR. The stan...

Re: MyAES is here!

Than there's the Thing Desktop. That's a wonderful desktop for sure. I like it's functionality. It's perfect for me but it's not capable of using modern icons of 256 colours. I've used 256 colour icons with Thing! since 1997 or so. I never could get Thing to display 256 colour icons properly. Proba...

You can avoid the call to srtcpy with:

Code: Select all

*s = '\0';

And don't forget to check the return value of the strrchr call.

Re: Still commercially / supported / developed software?

I noticed Armin Diedering still has Resource Master for sale at http://www.ardisoft.de/Produkte/produkte.html. Page was last updated in 2010, but I've emailed to ask if it is still sold. Awaiting his response. *Edit* His homepage update from 2008 say it is freeware. :?: :?: ResourceMaster (RSM), Di...

No I was thinking to a famous guy at FCSA that wrote so many message if you see what I want to said! If I may intervene here: Olivier is speaking of an (ex) Atari programmer who is obviously mentally disturbed and who has been flooding the Atari French Usenet group with nonsense for years. That lun...

There's no reason why Netsurf shouldn't run on the Hades. It must be a software problem. What is your config and what exactly doesn't work?

Re: CF setup

OK so my CF card has died and I've lost everything. :evil: So how do I partition the new CF card and what do I need? Is it a 500MB Fat16 partition and the balance a Ext2 partition for MINT? Are you sure it isn't only the FAT that got wiped? I had this happen to me a couple of times. Now, if you don...

I'm not sure but I think TosWin2 needs /etc/passwd and maybe some other files. Have you looked in the documentation?

I find my FireBee's desktop way prettier than any Amiga workbench I've ever seen. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder I guess.

Font antialiasing has nothing to do with the AES. It's a VDI feature that depends on the screen driver. You can have antialiasing with XaAES too.

Thx guys all going good. Sorry if this is a stupid question, with the Sparemint rpm system can I get it to update packages from the command line? I wish there was a good coder out there that could make a 16/256 colour netsurf happen. It would breath new life into our old machines. By making them insufferably slow? Don't get me wrong. I like Netsurf and it is probably fast compared to other current browsers but on my Firebee it is so slow I b...
