Re: SDRAM board

The XSD2.5 is just some mm smaller to be able to use special offers from Chineese Manufacturers for 4 Layer Boards up to 50mmx50mm (for prototype amounts)

Re: SDRAM board

Ricardo uses -7 while i use -6. Result between us is the same or if there is a difference then meaningless. Sorry, but that's what I'm saying: The 7ns version works fine on the XS1.1 and the 6ns version fine on the XS2.2 But this doesn't mean that the 6ns version is working fine on the XS1.1 Before...

XS 1.1 64MB also may work fine with Archie but it should be very carefully soldered. According to Ricardo his XS 1.1 64MB works fine. Ricard...

No - Archie is having problems with 64MB 6TIN (128MHz).
As the rest is lower there are no problems.

Re: Joystick testing thread

Yeah - what I said :-)
DONT'T skip D-Pad with space!
Just press up/ left (can't remember clearly at the moment) as requested.
You will be asked for up/down/left right afterwards.
If you skip d-pad you have exactly the problem you mention.

Re: Joystick testing thread

You say something like 'skip d-pad' most likely (as you don't have one).
Just go through it - questionairy about up/down/left/right will follow.

Re: SDRAM board

I‘m using 1uF capacitors for both (Winbond 32MB and Alliance 64MB) while Alliance 32MB are fine with 0.1uF.
Cleaning them with IPA afterwards from Flux.

Re: SDRAM board

The 6T can pass 150-160MHz (at least this is what happens in my case), but some problems around 130MHz (might be solveable with clock phase). 167MHz with the 7ns version is theoretically not possible als they are specified for 7ns -> 143MHz. The 7T I'm having here (but didn't have had any time to so...

Or use one of the HUBs (Sorgeligs or mine) with PCB Board connection - this is quite stable

I can offer you the same - but as written above: No guarantee.
Already measured it defect? Otherwise it's maybe on cable side (tried different cable?).

Yeah, rebaseing brings a lot of checkin's with it :-) - I know .... OK, I'll give it a try with git bisect and try to figure out _your_ tags / checkins before :-) config file for MiSTer should be a good starting point checking the logs in detail. > And the master branch for MiSTer is called.. surpri...

Re: Repairing the MicroUSB connector?

You can use a Multimeter and a normal MicroUSB to USB-A cable. One side on the Port A ond the other one on the PCB directly (you can place the probe to the pads where the MicoUSB is soldered). Yes - thight - but will work. Or cut the USB-A and connect one wire to one probe and use a needle (with the...

Re: Repairing the MicroUSB connector?

Hi Newsdee, I've already exchanged some MicroUSB on other boards, but not on the DE10. Basically I think it should be possible. Major problem: I didn't have found any BOM from the DE10, so I don't know the exact type of MicroUSB used (they are using one with THT at the back, while I normally use one...

Re: Local Sellers for MiSTer Expansion Boards

Have a look to the leading post - BUT: At the moment it's not clear which way the path will go - from the checkins in the github it might become a 128MB module not a 64MB one. So keep patient (as we all do), let Sorgelig do his job and as soon as the final decision has been done I'm sure that some o...
