Re: NES core on MiST

Just tried SMB on the latest version both standalone and + duckhunt rom images and the whole game is glitched out. SMB2 plays perfect. Anyone else have that?

Only things I found that support EJP's analog were made for Falcon. :(

Re: Acorn Archimedes

Wish there was a way to get the proper aspect in games on VGA monitor though. Have to invest in a scaler I suppose. Maybe the changelog with the scandoubler should give you a hint how to do it... Don't see anything about a scandoubler in the changelog or wiki for this core. It's enabled in the mist...

I dunno using the mouse controls in stuff is pretty great. I always like analog controls. Magnetoids is awesome. Wish there was a way to get the proper aspect in games on VGA monitor though. Have to invest in a scaler I suppose.

Re: A core that works as a card reader?

I had no idea, I had considered adding a DC jack and just thought the micro usb power was chosen for universal adaptivity. I'd really like to check out the printer feature. Wish there was a more direct approach for that as well as networking. Maybe with MiSTer.

Sweeet. Had this not working with flashing screen on my SD for a while. Now I learn that the ROM I have is German though lol. New computer world to explore. :D

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

That's the one. I tested 2 and 3 also and did not see any of the same issues. And did you use the save/load feature before the freezes, or just happened without that? Also, curious, which GSU chip were you thinking to implement? Well, neither of them at the moment, I don't think I can find a way to...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Try this please: https://github.com/gyurco/SNES_MiSTer/releases/tag/test15 (and watch out especially for sound issues - there's a big DSP optimization, hopefully not buggy) Hmm still same. Green text on the field and freezing. Actually gets more graphic corruption than before as it plays too. Don't...

Re: A core that works as a card reader?

Yea I think that would be along the lines of USB mass storage devices which hasn't come to being. Couldn't transfer data over the USB power jack either as that's just a power connection strictly.

Re: MIST C64 core

8580 on this in mono or stereo seems to have issues with the noise wave form. Not getting noise sound from it in SIDwiz. 6581 noise works perfect. So I was playing with it more and found that noise waveform does kick in eventually, but it's kinda totally random as to when. Sometimes it takes several...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Bout 10 hours in on Chrono Trigger. Works great. Illusion of Gaia is pretty solid too. Though really gotta remember to write sav's after mounting, that set me back a couple times. Tecmo Super Bowl on all versions I've noticed the text that pops up on screen during play is bright green instead of whi...

Re: Request on 8 bit computer cores: NO-BORDER option?

Lots of C64 stuff can use border display space so it is necessary. Doesn't feel right without them either. Very silly idea.

I should stop updating this core.

It is already more stable and robust than the NES core.

DirMaster for C64 stuff
The MiST Joystick mapper on here has been very handy
WinUAE
HstWB Installer is super handy as well including all the tools built in to that
Hatari

That's about it for the most part.

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Yay, V6 is 100% for me. Even Metal Marines is totally glitch free. This is super solid. No resetting, no buggy sounds or graphics and everything intended to run, runs. Great work!

Ok Mario is Missing! has a bit of corruption, but I'm fine with that. Totally playable still. Only one I've found too.

Looks comparable to Amiga AGA spec wise. I'd say it's possible, but Minimig wasn't built in a day. I think the Apple II GS would probably be the most interesting apple device to replicate.

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

I'm using Lotharek's 1.3 with the MIDI addon. Well, I'll test version 3 more, maybe that's the most stable. V1 was pretty solid aside from the small issue with Pilotwings and some graphical issues. I've tried to compile core's before, but it never quite worked right for me on windows. Have to get an...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

This one and the test 2 release have huge weird OSD for some reason now, also Test 4b doesn't load Pilotwings at all, will play around with the save function more though to see how well that works. It's big, but size in the FPGA is the half. Pilotwings works for me (LoROM). Yea I was in lorom mode,...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

What custom chips support this port? DSP only? :) Yes. The FPGA is 100% full. Even the RGB->YPbPr module didn't fit :) But the DSPn chips are the most widely used ones after SA1. Ok :D . Well I've done a lot of tests... Pilotwings PAL doesn't work well, I don't know why  . About PAL and NTSC...

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Definitely getting graphical corruption the longer I run certain games like Tecmo Super Bowl. Weird since the NES core also seems to have that issue with Tecmo Super Bowl of graphics corruption slowly getting worse. Metal Marines is a mess right from launch. Lots of other stuff has no issues though....

Re: Mister SNES port to MIST possible?

Amazing. I never thought this would happen. NTSC had a blur running horizontally across the screen for some reason. Super Mario RPG wouldn't load in any rom setting. Super Metroid seems to have corrupted the rom image causing graphical blocks when saving the game which does not actually save through...

It would be neat, but if you want one so bad why not get the DE1 and setup the Coco3fpga on there? Maybe figure out a way to port it even?
