I have posted a new version and tidied the sources. IMHO too many factors that make influence on value measured. Way simpler to use...

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.

It is a pity that you haven't yet been able to gain enough traction on the project to attract other FPGA developers, but I believe it has the potential to be great in the future. Just FYI - project is in public domain for... about 2 months =)) But anyway what you've said isn't really true. But sinc...

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.

On computers where 68000 is used usually cycle accuracy is not required. It's more important how correct every instruction is executed. Minimig is pretty compatible with most Amiga 500-1200 software, so the CPU is not an issue. In my opinion it's only because of architecture specifics where all use...

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.

plus no 68030 or MMU in standard form so the ST core should be (arguable) simpler than the Amiga one... Not sure if it's really simpler, it still has custom chips, plus several off the shelf rather complex chips. But regardless if it is simpler or not, it probably requires much more accuracy. Since...

As I remember there is a standard mechanism for all cores:
- first Enter press on floppy drive item in OSD ejects it
- next Enter press allows to select next floppy image

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.

Mounted 5V Sunon maglev fan from some laptop (it has own heatsink) and powered it from 3.3V (arduino header) It works, but I'm not happy with level of noise it produces. Probably will try dc-dc buck converter to power it from lower voltage. But as for heat dissipation - works just fine See thermal c...

Yes, usually this kind of information is there... Since the sole purpose of buying the board was/is MiSTer, I was hoping I would not be reading the manual for the dev-board. Obviously I was wrong. Thx anyway. It's not an user-oriented product. It's really a DEVELOPMENT environment both from hardwar...

Cyclone V has no thermal diode. Only upper level chips (Arria and Stratix have them). https://lists.rocketboards.org/pipermai ... 02172.html

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.

It's very complicated. FPGA doesn't work like CPU, and there is no immediate way to detect the SDRAM. It will require POST sequence to detect it and then somehow display it which will make the cores more complicated in development. I would say - it's complicated for now. Have few ideas about that a...

I was able to pick up a microscope, hot-air soldering iron and soldering paste. The capacitors are still soldered by hand, since 0805 is large enough to get it ...

i wish i would have a 3D printer. Any recommendation what kind of 3D printer is better to buy? I'm thinking to look for it on Aliexpress Cheap ones - you'll have to "debug" and "fix" lots of things. Ready to print out of the box and produce consistent quality - already costs $2k...

I have not seen any Board yet that could keep the 167 MHz memtest Green for long. I've just seen "eye-diagram" on oscilloscope and have no illusion about ability to operate on higher frequencies. It's a miracle it operates above 100MHz at all =) Most of kudos go to Alliance Memory chip th...

Core release ao486_20170803 is stable - no rolling of the screen some releases have more chances to have visual rolling (VGA scaling is still cumbersome). But if you make 1-2 cold reboots for DE10-Nano (power off + power on), then you can get picture without issues. For now we didn't find any easy ...

Re: MiSTer: MiST on Terasic DE10-nano board.

I was unfortunatly not foresighted enough to order enough chips in the beginning, so i had to reorder them. If everything is ordered at one distributor and at one PCB manufactor, then the price can be pushed further down. Just FYI - price on PCBWay is similar for 5 and 10 units. I've got 10 boards ...
