Is there a midi player for the Milan, too? I just didn't manage to play midi files on the Milan?

Re: How to install Thing desktop?

Yes, 1.27 is the last release from Thomas Binder. There is also 1.50 but the last time I checked it was extremely unstable. I have not followed that project so I don't know the current state of it. One of the former developers (Arno Welzel) just released the source code of the Thing desktop on gith...

Re: Sparemint, DHCP and Mounting NFS shares

Okay. Thanks Jury, Vi was there. I added the export exactly as shown above, still the same issue inside Mint. Cannot open, item is protected. I'm not sure if my hint is helpful but take a look at the access rights of the shared folders and the data inside. The user on the Atari side (e. g. "no...

Re: GEMDOS on Apple Lisa

You should port EmuTOS on Lisa... and add support for Lisa external harddisk... I already looked a bit here and yep, an emuTOS port could be an interesting project. But I need to setup a good 68k cross compilation environment first. I think it would be better to port EmuTOS to the 68k Macs. There a...

Re: Geneva and NeoDesk 4 Released as Donationware

My hope is to release occasional updates and, more importantly, the source code, so you can all compile your own and contribute fixes. Great stuff :) There are some things I'd like to fix/change, one of them is to get it running on my Milan060. Are you still using PureC? Or have you switched to ano...

Re: firebee stability

I thought that PS/2 mice and keyboards weren't already working due to the missing implementation in the pic? So your bee is crashing only in the 1600 x 1200 resolution or in all other resolutions, too? Are you using currently a PS/2 mouse and keyboard? What devices are connected to the firebee? Perh...

Re: Milan maximum RAM

RAM and the Milan is a mystery! I've got 48 MB RAM in my Milan using EDO PS/2 simms. My third ram socket is damaged. I don't know what happend to the socket but it's bent. When I bought the Milan from its former owner the socket was already like this. So no simm is working in that damaged socket. La...

Re: GE Soft Eagle (TT clone)

Sorry, Fredi was not involved in the Eagle. He made the contemporary Medusa. My mistake. Gero Anschütz was the main developer. What add-on cards do you have? CPU/FPU, RAM, EagleChannel-to-VME, Triple-VME-Slot Backplane. For attaching a VME GFX card I do have a CrazyDots and a Nova VME-to-ISA adapte...

Support Apollo 68080 in Atari ST computers! Amiga guys seems to be quite happy with Netsurf on that turbo card. Must be done by whom? But I think we don't need a vampire discussion in every thread. :) It would be nice to compare Netsurf running on the Firebee and on a Vampire 68080 Atari Clone. I t...

No modifications whatsoever. The adapter doesn't do much, it doesn't contain any logic etc. It was produced fai...

Re: Trying NetSurf on Atari TT

I installed different versions of Netsurf on my Milan040 and they are all very slow compared to Highwire. Even CAB is faster but it's not fair to compare these browsers to each other due to their different background and technics they use. Netsuf works on the Firebee pretty fine and it's much faster...

Re: Apollo Team announces developing of Vampire standalone version to run as AMIGA and ATARI ST

I will be brief: I like Atari and I do not like Amiga, That is nonsense. Can I have my own criteria and decide what I like and what I do not like? Or maybe it's nonsense to have freedom of opinion. Greetings. Very good answer! 8) I think for the Apollo team the Amigas are in the first place. They w...

N.AES is nearly 20 years old and it wasn't change during that time. So I cannot understand why Woller isn't going to release it as freeware without any support. They also might sell sell for a small price like 10 €. That would be alright, too. I don't like selling a very old software for a high pric...

Re: vampire core free shareware ver

Despite there's no MMU and FPU in this design the shareware fee might be to high for community projects so only small companies might be able to pay it. There are some small companies that are still producing add on cards for the Amiga. I think the vampire project has them in mind.

You can mount your Windows shared folders via sharitylight directly on your Atari just like it is one of your drive. Re: Atari on home network

The easiest way for data transfer in such a network is to use ftp. You may use Litchi as a client on the Atari side or FTP Server as a server. http://ptonthat.fr/litchi/ http://users.otenet.gr/~papval/ All other solutions are a little bit more complicated. You have to modify a lot of configuration f...
