Picture also rolls constantly on my 1990's Panasonic CRT TV. :(

@lips2k15 - is your TV a CRT?

Re: Jupiter Ace arrives at MiST

Many thanks @jotego for your comments. I have tried to get this subject discussed in a previous dedicated Topic but I have not been successful in getting comments/backing from programmers. It can be difficult. Programmers need to remember these are not personnel comments/attacks. As a community we a...

Re: Jupiter Ace arrives at MiST

There are plenty of current Cores which don't work on all MiST versions, and more Cores get made instead of 'bullet proofing' the older ones. ;) So what Gehstock is doing does not sound too bad. I know it is all volunteer stuff, but community users have invested around 200 euros. I am up for a testi...

Is your Commodore monitor for an AMIGA? Because if it has a 9 pin dtype input you can connect the MiST and all other SCART devices.

Hey, thanks! :D Another game I have issues in the original MMB image is The Empire Strikes Back. It just only shows the title screen. Regards, Salva Hi I just checked with a single disk version of Empire and it hangs at the title screen :( It works on ZX-Uno and BeeBEm so I guess it is MiST Core re...

Re: 15 kHz Scart RGB

@DrOG - I was going to say the picture is too far off to the left and there was some shimmering of the pixels. But I spun my chair around to look back at the MiST away from my PC and the pixels had stopped shimmering?! The shimmering was in the Core's file menu before I loaded a game but I did not n...

Re: 15 kHz Scart RGB

Sorry, but with my 'homemade' MiST/MiniMig SCART cable on my 14" Panasonic CRT the picture is excellent on those Cores. It is better than on the original hardware. Especially the C64, I wish my C64's produced such a sharp image. No ghosting or interference. Pixel sharp, well pixel sharp for a C...

Re: BBC Micro

If you have a blinking cursor that should be the command prompt. Is your keyboard working? Press F12 and see if the MiST On Screen Display appears. 1. You need to 'slow format' your SDcard first. 2. Copy .MMB always first 3. Copy core file 4. Insert into MiST and turn on. If you want to place anothe...

I posted this on the ZX-Uno forum: Hi, Working with stardot.org.uk who seem to be one of the biggest Acorn computer websites, there is now a storage location for the BBC .MMB file. This is hoped to be the 'master' file, which people will go to for updates. - http://stardot.org.uk/files/mmb/higgy_mmb...

Re: 15 kHz Scart RGB

Good investigations/testing. I was using a Commodore 1084S before it died. That did not accept CSYNC from consoles etc so I had built a Sync stripper box with MALE-FEMALE SCART CONNECTORS. I could then run all my hardware through the 1084S. - I am now back using my 14" CRT's. There is a circuit...

ISSUE - Are MiST PCB revisions causing incompatibility? How do we solve?

I would love to be wrong and we can delete this topic. I am not a hardware designer or programmer, I just read through information and test. MiST PCB revisions and/or component changes (SDRAM chips) seem to be causing issues, and I don't want it to get worse. My main reasons for purchasing a MiST wa...

Re: New MIST core: PC Engine!

I guess I'm the only one so far that's having an issue in 15khz mode? It's weird because this is the only core I'm having issues running in 15khz mode. I must say I have not had a lot of time to look into the config file, but I did have a folder with the TV / SCART file in it, and on my CRT TV I ca...

Re: [Solved] MiST Hardware Revisions? MSX-Core-Problem

It is a shame that this and the Archimedes cores only work on MiST's which have been sprinkled with FPGA holy water ;)

I am sure there is the knowledge here to get them working with all boards.

Re: BBC Micro

@squid4 - I have been having a play with the Core. The 'Bad Apple' demo port works :) There seems to be a slight issue with some games (maybe the resolution they are using?). There looks to be some screen 'wrap around'. You see a few columns of pixels on the left hand side of the screen, which are f...

Re: Atari ST Hard disk Image file for Mist

If the hidden partitions are not used and the data fits, could someone refit the data onto a 2GB and create a new .IMG?

I would prefer to use up a 2GB card instead of a 8GB one :)

@squid4 - I play a lot of 60Hz NTSC on my CRT and I would agree, PAL & NTSC are swapped and should be changed.
