Re: Flea Ohm Zero - FPGA AMIGA (Minimig) in a RPi-Zero-Formfactor

Congratulations on hitting your target! I don't know the tech details so this might not be relevant at all and you might have seen this, but the standard ZX Uno has a 8mbit SPI Winbond flash for Core storage. They have a menu that you can enter to change Cores. As with a lot of these things the code...

Re: Flea Ohm Zero - FPGA AMIGA (Minimig) in a RPi-Zero-Formfactor

Options are always good as I am sure you agree (within price / tech constraints). I am thinking of many setups where people (& me) have a VGA/DVI monitor and desktop PC speakers. HDMI to DVI no problem, but having or the ability to solder on a 3.5mm jack will open up more options to use the Flea...

Re: Flea Ohm Zero - FPGA AMIGA (Minimig) in a RPi-Zero-Formfactor

Great project Valentin, I am looking to back this. I have a MiST and ZX-Uno (Spanish FPGA device). A highly portable AMIGA and old skool PC Core have got my interest! ZX Uno only has 512kb as standard so that limits its PC Core (based on Next186). Question - is it possible to also get analog sound o...

Re: SAM Coupe core for MiST

I was going by this comment from Github, unless I am missing something: sorgelig commented Feb 28, 2017 All changes are in repository. Latest build includes HQ2x scaling and occupies almost all FPGA RAM and probably has more strict requirements for internal timings. Currently i don't know where is t...

Re: SAM Coupe core for MiST

Glad (but sorry) that others have tried and had issues. It is a shame this is now yet another Core which it is a lottery if it will work on your MiST. The previous Core version works? So what ever was changed has caused the issue. FPGA too full, SDRAM timing issues? We will probably never know. I co...

Re: Acorn Archimedes

@DrOG - well done on the continued testing. I was involved in a GitHub conversation some weeks back with the author and others but we did not really get anywhere. I tested your suggestion and I get it to boot! If I wait for say 10sec on the 'red screen' then it continues to boot so you don't need to...

Re: MiST MINIMIG AGA News!

I have found where to place issues. https://github.com/rkrajnc/minimig-mist/issues
I won't add Pinball Illusions if the problem is already known.

I need to test 'Battle Squadron' again. I think it was this game I tried and the background was missing? And I think I was using AGA & WHDLoad/igame.

Re: MiST MINIMIG AGA News!

Just been trying to get Pinball Illusions working. I had WHDLoad slave version 2.2 and it crashed out to Workbench. I then updated to version 2.3 and it crashes once you select the table :( - to note, the table starts but as it scrolls down the table it crashes. RAM issue? I tested my Hardfile on Wi...

Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

Hi DrOG. I got my BL912 adaptor cable all sorted. MiST is great (although for me MiST-SCART to SCART-VGA BenQ is not that useful as nearly all MiST Cores output RGB/VGA). My test hardware for BenQ SCART input is a Mk1 Megadrive. I had a spare sync stripper chip around so made up a cable. The monitor...

Re: MIST and AV signal

Hi, I don't think there is a way to tell unless you try feeding in a signal. I think Commodore had monitors labelled the same, but they used electronics/tv tubes from other manufactures. Mine I am pretty sure is from Korea. I used this guide for the Sync Stripper - http://www.mmmonkey.co.uk/composit...

Re: MIST and AV signal

@seastalker - I have a 1084S-D1 and use it with RGB from the MiST but I have to use a Sync Stripper. Some people say they don't need one, but I do. I have a DTYPE-9 PIN to male SCART cable, I plug this into a FEMALE-FEMALE SCART adaptor, which inside I fitted a sync stripper, I then have 5v in (to p...

Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

I have a BL912 also. I got it over the 7?? because the 912 also has DVI so I can use HDMI. On my actual AMIGA 1200 there is some interference/patterns in the picture, but it is perfect with FPGA devices. And yes it is good to have a ratio close to 4:3! I have been meaning to make a SCART adaptor to ...

Re: Help with Plus TOO core

I am trying to create a hard drive image with 6.0.8 on it. All the 6.0.8. disks I find are 819K instead of 800K. I found a program that works in Win7 to extract .sea.bin images. Apple does/did host the System 6.0.8 images for free so I don't see a legal/copyright issue to have the MiST 20mb blank HD...

Re: amstrad cpc 6128

Sorry I forgot to say. It is working fine on my CRT TV. Not tried on LCD etc The 'Batman Demo' single disk version does not work, due to drive incompatibilities. Where there different types of Amstrad disk drive? Or are 'single disk' versions more for emulators etc which can 'swap' over disks to the...

Re: amstrad cpc 6128

A new Core was released about 2 hours ago (current 20:57 UK time), and it fixes the black border issue.

You need to download or watch the excellent Logon's run - 3D meets the aging bits demo - http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=69651

Great work braincell1973 - there seems to be negativity about improving Cores so well done in keeping at it. Just please make sure your mods don't mean your Core only works on MiST's with Holy Grail chips and not on others  (SDRAM timing issues/FGPA variations? -not sure we have got to the bott...

Re: Perfecting existing cores

Hi. What do you mean by later hardware? It does not work on my v1.2 PCB or a temporarily owned v1.3 when I had it. I think the issue is a variation on the SDRAM or even the FPGA chip. This is why we need detailed testing. People that can get it to work need to post details: PCB revision, SDcard deta...

Re: Perfecting existing cores

Let us keep this topic the talking area, rather than other topics so we all know where to look/go for discussions. Regarding the Archimedes Core as I understand the Core developer Steven Leary does not even have a MiST, he used a Papilio Pro board. Ok we need to get the ball rolling and pick a Core ...

The picture using the latest Core does not work on my 1990's PAL RGB CRT 14" TV. I get a display, it is shifted to the left and I cannot read the text (also on OSD), - Only the previous Core worked fine. Does the Core developer see the results from us? Hopefully it will be developed to work on ...

Re: Perfecting existing cores

Sorry for the delay in replying. I am glad that there is movement to start looking at Cores. My concerns were slightly different, but still relevant with what you have said: I would like all released Cores to be able to work across all MiST PCB/SDRAM versions. And to identify why there is this issue...

Re: amstrad cpc 6128

Thanks for reset info.

I guess FDC = floppy disc controller. I tired single disc version of 'Batman Forever' demo and I got a message about not having the right setup. I will have to try the multidisc version.

On my actual 6128 I have a Gotek drive flashed with HxC firmware.
