Re: NEW OR UPDATED ARCADE CORES

Why don't you put this repository into the official Mist repository?

https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-binaries

Contact Till Harbaum.

This is too valuable to loose again.

Re: The last MIST

Masterofgizmo, You are an FPGA GOD! You’ve done more for bringing FPGA magic to the general public more than anyone I know. The MIST is still a great product and I’m sure it can still provide years of retro fun. Totally understand your decision, things move on. Sadly we don’t seem to have a MIST2 an...

Re: Introducing the VeriSNES (FPGA-based SNES)

Darned Google Translate :)

jwdonal, the world is your oyster then! I almost wet myself when you announced VeriSNES maybe ported to the MiST/MiSTer (MiST 2?). That would be the "killer app" for FPGA.

That Japanese SNES fpga developer has just released his source! Looks like he's been monitoring the latest VeriSNES news.

Re: BBC Micro

So I've managed to find the bug that stopped Planetoid :D from running, and other 6522 related games like Snapper. The problem is that the SHIFT and CONTROL keys pause the games and Planetoid uses SHIFT. I haven't got a clue what is causing these keys to pause Acornsoft games. Any ideas? Latest vers...

I did it myself. :D

Here's the 2600 with RGB 15khz support, supports mist.ini scandoubler_disable. Let me know how it works and then I'll upload it to mist github.

Re: ZX81 and TV RGB output

Could someone with a real ZX81 on the same CRT as the MiST measure the top and bottom of the display (where text is displayed) and compare it with measurements for the MiST? Or a screenshot of the two. A simple basic program: 10 print "HELLO" 20 goto 10 I think there's a VGA timing problem...

Did you put Config_TV/FPGAPCE.CFG in the root of the SD card?

Re: ZX81 and TV RGB output

rittwage, does your CRT TV tell you the Hz? Mine doesn't. Is it definitely 60Hz for PAL, 50 for NTSC?

The top of the screen is skewed, that's a flaw in the original ZX81 video output.

Re: New MIST core: PC Engine!

I've fixed the RGB 15khz problem and posted the updated binary below. I've let the original author know so he can add it to his source. There's still a problem with the image too far to the left though, but that also appears on VGA too.

I've fixed the non-appearance of the OSD in RGB 15khz mode. I've also fixed the washed out colours in RGB 15khz mode. Please test and let me know.
Any idea how I get these source code changes uploaded to the MiST github repos?

ZX81 and TV RGB output

I've added TV RGB (15khz) output to the Sinclair ZX81 core. core.zip This was a learning exercise for me with FPGAs, verilog and the development/debug environment, as I've never touch FPGAs before but have C/C++ experience. I'd be grateful if some Sinclair/CRT fan could test it to see if it works on...

Great to see so many arcade cores, thanks! This is very exciting work. Is it going to be possible to do 90 degree rotation on these or will I just have to get used to neck ache?

Re: New MIST core: PC Engine!

Yes, same problem here with the sync problem. I don't have a VGA monitor anymore and I prefer to use 15Khz with these retro cores which work great on my Sony TV via SCART. I've had a look into the video timing issues but I can't see the problem.
