Quick NVDI Unicode support question

Does NVDI 5's Unicode implementation support the SMP characters (U+10000-U+1FFFF)? I can't tell if the 16-bit VDI functions take UTF-16 or just straight 16-bit character index codes.

I remember I removed the shareware prompt.
What version have you got ?

Guillaume.

I have version 3.6E.

I'm also trying to find GlueSTiK, its homepage seems to have disappeared as well.

Re: Couple TT hardware questions (UltraSatan, TOM, and NetUSBee)

Hijacking my own thread, but I’m trying to get MiNT running on the TT. I’m having some trouble with it. I extracted the latest MiNT beta to my boot drive (a 512MB BGM partition) and put mint030.prg in my AUTO folder along with NVDI 5. It gets as far as starting XaAES (I have no desktop set up in the...

Not if there’s no battery. I need to find a replacement for it.

Couple TT hardware questions (UltraSatan, TOM, and NetUSBee)

My TT arrived and I'm very happy. I have an UltraSatan hooked up to the ACSI port for now. I've also got a NetUSBee cartridge and a TOM+ USB mouse adapter. If I have the TOM+ plugged in when I power up the TT, the keyboard no longer works. It gets power (the TOM lights up) but neither the keyboard o...

I actually just checked eBay and found someone selling adapters that go from the cartridge slot to a 40-pin header, which works for me.

Cartridge blanks

I want to connect an FPGA to my ST’s cartridge port. Where can I get blank prototyping boards that fit in the cartridge port?

TT still available? I’m a 68K dev in the US looking for real hardware for developing new software and hardware on.

68K piggyback socket

I have an exxos 16MHz CPU upgrade and a 1040STF. I really don’t want to risk damaging the board with a bunch of heating cycles from desoldering a 64 pin DIP and soldering in a socket. I have a bunch of 64-pin wire wrap sockets with really long legs. Will an exxos upgrade PCB work piggybacked onto th...

I was able to add OBJECTs from dialogs to my window through the AES object library, pretty much doing what I wanted in the first place.

I like ORCS. I have a quick question though. On the ST version, you enter mask characters into the edit text objects with ALT+(character). How do you enter them in the Windows version?

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

I started writing a GDB stub that's linkable with TOS applications. (It's also in Pure-C and its assembler format so I'll need to adapt it to GCC and GAS...) So far it hooks the bus error, address error, and illegal instruction vectors and dumps the 68K registers to the screen when it crashes. At th...

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

I got GCC 7.2 working and built some hello world applications! Awsome! I'm adapting my Pure-C GEM game source over to Mintlib and GEMlib. Having some trouble with crashes though, and being without the Pure-C debugger is a pain. Is it possible to get symbolic debugging going with a TOS application bu...

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

Hey, is there a problem switching --enable-decimal-float to --disable-decimal-float in your GCC build script? I'm building on a SPARC target which doesn't support decimal float. I won't know the results for a while, so I figure I'd ask too. Unless you try to compile some Atari program with the resu...

I meant for use with the brown build scripts :) They reformat the source for use with gas or something, so they expect a specific mintlib source archive.

Anyone have a link to the CVS mintlib? The Git one doesn't cooperate when building from source.
