Wondering if anyone is up to date on this. https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbc...

Re: Refurbish an Atari ST in Bad shape ?

I have one with nauseating smell of pollen, especially after warming up :) You would say it's refreshing, but it isn't, it's rather strong and smells like colophony. The board and power supply are covered with sticky yellow mess, it was obviously used outside a lot, most likely next to a rapeseed f...

Refurbish an Atari ST in Bad shape ?

So, it happens sometimes you find some atari st in rough shape hardly working and damaged. what steps do you take to reinvigorate it to a sturdy good working condition, what applications (or) software is it possible to give the atari st a soapy bath to fix stains and clean all the dirt and bad smell...

Re: Which Games have the Strangest Sound Effects ?

The first game I come to think of when talking about zany sound effects is Llamatron by Jeff Minter! Loved that one, much thanks to the brilliant sound effects. :) But of course, it really is a great Robotron clone as well ... llamatron_llamasoft.gif Oh WOW! I remember that screen growing up soooo ...

Which Games have the Strangest Sound Effects ?

Ok, I admit it there are days where I would just sit in my room. Load up a game on the Atari ST for nothing but the quirky, strange and enjoyable sound effects. My personal favorite is Bubble Ghost :megaphone: Which of the Atari ST games do you think have the most unusual, zane and strange sounds ? ...

Re: Curious about CF cards ?

I don't have a Falcon so haven't used an IDE to Compact Flash on an Atari but on a clamshell Apple iBook I use this: http://amzn.to/2fssAuu This is fascinating thanks for weighing in, also there are the 6-in-1 multi card to PCMCIA that may work for connecting an SD card into a older Mac Powerbook h...

Re: curious about cf cards

My experience with CF cards is mixed. I've had more success on my Amiga 600 than on my Ataris. On the Atari some cards works and others don't. Some harddisk drivers works and others don't. I'm not using CF cards anymore but rather IDE->SD adapters. http://www.dx.com/p/sd-memory-card-to-ide-44-pin-h...

Re: What Gamepads or Controllers to Use ?

Simon im starting to think it must be related to different regions and models of Atari that are capable of using a standard 3 button genesis pad. In Canada on a 1040STe it does not work in either port. Also a closer inspection of the plug of the controller all the holes on the plug in of the control...
