Re: Metacomco assembler & Pascal

An assembler program written as a TTP. Well,we have gen.ttp (devpac) as far as I know the gemish thing is really a way to parse stuff into it..Making stuff easier.. Had to use gen.ttp straight off for a while since for some reason the combo of mint 1.15 and ext2 didn't work as expected. (a old easy...

Re: Difference between TOS 4.00 > 4.04

Good question.Do know of some bugs between 4.01 and 4.04 that was fixed with the odd auto folder proggie.
But never gotten the hang of what they actually were,so hooking into the thread if someone knows of them specifically.

Re: Metacomco assembler & Pascal

So,got around and checked the disks..(falcy still on the work-bench but remembered have a spare network board) Seem to be ok.MSA:ed them ,dont think that they have any funny protection or stuff like that. Actually MSA:ed the old originals, dang I like DD format when used properly, not a single bad sec...

Re: Metacomco assembler & Pascal

Look at that, looks familiar.Got the box and whole lot way back.(big video style box for the thing) Was sort of wondering if you meant the Macro assembler or not. Can check for the disks how they are(have back ups aswell) and pop them up if they are ok. However will take a while since my machine is o...

Re: Falcon RF to composite mod causing cap to bulge?

Almost, composite video yes is short for CV,but pin9 on MC1377 where you connected the extra odd video directly from chip.(meaning dont use that).
CV on connector is pin 12.Or simply use a adapter where you can have that connected,

Re: Falcon RF to composite mod causing cap to bulge?

yup,,just saw that and was reminded of the thing. Mainly thinking about the reason why no one noticed before? After all I know that I run my falcon (and other ST/E models btw) on 'modern' screens that might only use a resistor for load on input. But it is a rather big cap so having 'only' 4V backwar...

Well,no day like today todo stuff that should have been made yeasterday planned a year ago..lol Took down the old machine for a run through, and on the CV thing found out it this.(non modified xx-002 Rev D/C board on the modulator thing) Peak+ that is the highest voltage visible on my scope.(see belo...

Re: Falcon RF to composite mod causing cap to bulge?

Okay, I did not realise that the modulator actually outputs composite signal as well. No it doesnt, but the modulator is fed with CV from the MC1377 so it can make a areial signal of it. It is almost the same signal as on the connector, this in non modulator systems outputs composite sync instead.(on...

Re: Cubase Lite not working

MROS not found,,a classic. As mentioned either it cant be found or loaded (CAF actually spits out the same thing there).
Only time I get this is when trying to load a unfixed cubase under mint. The other errors sounds a bit odd, have to test that lite version someday.

Re: Falcon RF to composite mod causing cap to bulge?

Not really getting why one should get CV from the chip since modulator machines have it the in connector?.. Otherwise,so someone is actually using the composite output??.I've even thought about getting rid of the PAL syncing for better stability. One will get a ugly stripey pic on CV then. On the ot...

Re: RPMint Distribution

Interesting project since I use a old easymint for network on a ownmade driver. The init part is a bit slow on a standard falcon actually, have even been thinking about ways to get around that. And a way to get into GEM without passing through a login process would be nice, yes I run gem for old stuff...

Yeah,I think I am on same path as Greenious here.Wonky adress line or something to ram.Might check the resistors there. The ones in line with MAD0-9,ie R454-466?,,hmm,,sitting with a old bad paper copy here.R454-468,exluding 456,459,463,467 as it looks. They should be 68ohm ones all of them, the 33oh...

I had a cf that i thought worked, but sometimes parts of the file where shifted 1or 2 bytes away. Ah,using ICD? pity didn't see this before.(yes only PRO version is 'new' enough to probe falcon IDE port) For future reference CF-cards dont need real formatting. Some alfa testing update. It does some fixup of the matrix setting that actually fixes standard CAF(with usual clockmodule) to work with mint(did a fixup of the program itself so it creates the audio files aswell). Havent gotten around to test it with my FDI in my mint setup tho(have the red soundpool box). ---- But under st...

Re: Looking for CAF206 startup info(mint)

To sum it up it is the Matrix that is not properly initiated or somesuch, hence use Matrix.prg which fixes that. And there was a odd Fopen which only opened the audio file in read mode that I changed to RW so the final audio file creation became possible.(oddly that works in TOS,really shouldn't).And ...
