Re: Apple 1 core?

I will be checking this core out. It seems an important project to preserve the history of a device that barely exists in working order these days. Maybe I will see the day an IBM 5100 core will be perfected with it's 'special' features intact... perhaps boring for modern enthusiasts but a certain J...

CRT Monitor S-video shows as monochrome or black and white

I have a Commodore 1084S-D1 monitor that has separate chroma/luma (Svideo before Svideo) inputs on the back. I recently purchased an adapter cable with male Chroma/luma for the monitor and converts to a female Svideo. I am trying to get my Atari 800xl (Bryan Svideo mod), C64 Reloaded and MIST with c...

Re: PCEngine core issues with roms?

I can see when core updates are limited to space restrictions on the MIST, but the PC Engine core is a perfect example of a core that needs little in playability but could be updated on a GUI basis.

Re: PCEngine core issues with roms?

I have the same issue. Even browsing sometimes hovers over blank lines. Still, when you load up a game it is a very satisfying experience. I just deal with it because I have my roms named in Hyperspin format and I don't want to rename roms per device I play on.

Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

Hey guys, I may repeat this info in a couple of related threads, but I've come up with a potential solution. I'm at least 90% there. It involved the purchase of a few products: Amazon links: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MZACPLY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and https://www....

Re: For MIST, Eclaire, 1088XEL - Atari 7800 PRO System Computer Keyboard

I was thinking of an adapter, but if it was just a prototype, a better route is to figure out a Teensy/KeyRah type of device with a 600xl/800xl case. Anyone know the whereabouts of the A8 molds? Man I wish they were remade. :)

Re: Decorating a MIST case with a logo.

That looks great! I was thinking about there for my XL badge. I don't want to make the MIST a guitar case littered in stickers and decals, but maybe it would be cool to put an Amiga logo, Speccy, etc. in strategic locations.

Decorating a MIST case with a logo.

I found some high quality thick logos on ebay for older computers from seller "marstickers" (based in Poland) and got one of the Atari 800XL. Some have mentioned that the MIST case is functional but not that aesthetically pleasing. I like it but want to add the logo. If YOU were to add the...

For MIST, Eclaire, 1088XEL - Atari 7800 PRO System Computer Keyboard

I never heard of this before now, but The Atari Museum lists The Atari 7800 PRO System Computer Keyboard: http://www.atarimuseum.com/videogames/consoles/7800/7800keyboard.html I am only assuming this keyboard was just a prototype? I was thinking how awesome it would be to have one for a FPGA Atari 8...

Thank you all for the MIST and the continued support of the MIST. It's my favorite thing that keeps getting better. I love that enthusiasm! Took me a second to realize this recreated speccy is actually a Bluetooth keyboard... how do you connect it to the MiST? USB? It is a much much nicer solution than my wireless keyboard with stickers from the ZX-UNO guys. :P Yes, it can be used as a USB keyboard so this may b...

Really? Wow! What is the plan? I'm trying to picture the input/output chain of cabling. I suppose a monitor for the MIst to adjust MT-32 modes and settings is needed as well as a monitor to play your compatible computer and games? It will be fascinating to see how the MT-32's front push buttons are ...

Wow, I'm glad I revisited this thread I started. Those are exciting new details. I have a pi3 (in an Amiga printed case) as well as the MIst, and hope to experiment in the new year. If there are only a few late games that are tricky, there is always emulation on the pi or PC. I wonder if the MIster ...

Yes, if you get the Lotharek ultimate 1 meg upgrade, it levels the playing field on all of them. THEN it is down to the desired functionality and look that you want. The 400 is cool because it is the FIRST. You will want a UAV and audio mod by Bryan on the forums. The 800 is cool because it is the F...

Re: Mist expansion (in theory)

All good points. I was just using examples of expansions, but of course things like Vampire card projects are better suited for original hardware. I suppose all could be summed up by questioning which cores stopped development or adding features (ex. floppy drive emulation) because of space issues i...
