I bet they could probably benefit from the updated 1541 work . IDK if they already include it or not, I havent kept up with the C16 core work in a while.

Agreed. While you wouldn't exactly be able to browse the modern web, being able to grab files directly from Aminet or transfer files across the network to the MiST would be useful... Or just to run an IRC client and party like it's '95 :P Unfortunately the AGA core hasn't been updated in about a ye...

right now AFAIK no one is doing that. Not correct. Some people are selling the boards: http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=117&t=32121 Oh thats good news.. The only concern I see with using a dev board like the DE10-nano is often companies will update or revise their dev boards from time...

A noob question alert, but having checked this forum I'm still not sure how to install a new program on my mist.. or load it from "floppy".. :coffe: Which core? perhaps if you provide more detail as to what you are trying to accomplish it might help .. i.e. what core are you using, etc..

Re: How actively are you using your MiST?

You only really need an SDRAM board. A fully assembled machine would probably be too pricey given it's mostly custom parts right now. As I said.. you need someone to either supply you the daughterboard or you need to roll your own.. therein lies the problem.. the ram board is a custom part .. you e...

I see you dont have the PlusTOO core in that matrix.. its also notoriously fussy. Right up there with the AtariST core. PlusTOO is on the list as 'Apple Macintosh'. . Oh indeed it is! .. Re: MiST VGA upscaling experiments

Hi! CONCLUSIONS: 1.) The efficiency of this scaler depends wholesale on the given core: If it's a PAL-only core without YPbPr output option, there's only a little chance that it will work. 2.) Compared to the low price, it can be a cost-effective solution. 3.) This device would be much more useful ...

Re: Moving MIST (etc) sub-forum into it's own main forum area

thanks for that! It's better now. I think it's better not to make too many sub-forums: it tends to confuse people to find the right section. Just a single one for MiST (and MiSTer), newbie questions and all the core into the same part is fine for me. MiST and MiSTer are not really binary compatible...

I ordered a Max232 from ebay as they are only a few dollars. I have attached a picture of the 1.3+ IMG_20170811_211147.jpg You can see that the expansion header(SV2) is missing and the Midi connector is part of the main board (no longer separate) Picture of 1.3 board with the SV2 header. https://ww...

Re: MiST 1.3+ and NullModem (Amiga Multiplayer)

I think you would need to use a MAX232 because the voltages coming out of the Mist would be TTL level and wouldnt work well (possibly fry) when connected to standard serial connector.. I am not sure what the situation is with the 1.3+ as far as the pins/connections needed, with the older MiSTs you c...

No I suspect its a legitimate concern of many current MiST owners who lack the time or technical skills to assemble their own MiSTers.. Such a device is out of reach for them ..
