Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

Still no success.. I have the drivers loaded.. I found a USB key.. only 1 out of a dozen that it will see.. Sandisk Mini Cruiser. 500mb partitions.. Install devices shows two icons.. I cannot open them.. read from them.. write to them.. nothing.

This is very frustrating.

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

It's working on my Mega ST and 520STFM with TOS 1.04. Perhaps you need some TOS patches. On my 520STFM I needed POOLFIX4.PRG. On my Mega ST I also had POOLFIX4.PRG. Load these first in the AUTO folder. Another issue is to have your USB storage device partitioned for the Atari. Read the storage docu...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

I just discovered that I can control two Atari (or a PC and Atari, or MAC and Atari, etc.) with one mouse. The Logitech M585 can control two computers. It has a 1-2 switch button. I used the Unifying software on the MAC, to assign to two different receivers each number (1 and 2), one at a time. The...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

yes, the "docs" are simply a description of each driver.. not exactly a manual. Or even a description of what is happening in the machine to allow.. requirements on the hardware etc.. As for what you just posted.. if I do it in that order IT DOES NOT WORK.. at all - If I do USB.PRG then Ne...

Re: NetUSBee USB drivers package v5

Perdrix24 - is there any documentation on this.. old or new.. I have a Lotharek Netusbee - I can get the networking to work on any machine. I cannot get USB to work on any machine.. ON an STE I can get the USB hub to load.. but nothing else. The machine has an exxos TOS switcher, so I can do 1.06 an...

Re: [PICS] Exxos 4Meg RAM card fitting - with soldered shifter

OK dug it out of storage, it looks like there are only two resistors that need linking to +5v: R134 and R133 hope this helps. thanks.. as posted I have removed the upgrade.. machine is fine.. something was either bad when I got it.. or I damaged something I guess. Anyway.. I see several upgrades on...

Re: [PICS] Exxos 4Meg RAM card fitting - with soldered shifter

Well I removed the upgrade.. have been running memory tests all morning.. its not the machine its the ram expansion. I have no idea if I have managed to damage anything.. my bench is anti static matted, and I have been doing electronics etc for the 40 years. So I have a good idea of what I am doing....

Now, I get nothing but a Black screen.. when I did not pull up the resistors I had 2.5meg and the machine worked fine.. now nothing.

So I did the exact same thing.

This forum is very frustrating.. all my file sizes are under 500k as per rules, and it will still not allow my pics to be uploaded.

Re: [PICS] Exxos 4Meg RAM card fitting - with soldered shifter

REV H --- I think its R133 and R134 but with just those 2.. do I tie the ends of the resistors together and to the 5v?? I saw this..

https://atari.joska.no/520stm/4Mb%20RAM ... 0520ST.pdf and thats how I found the above resistors.. but I am not sure how I tie them to 5v now.

I have a friend local that has a dead Falcon, is there anyone in NA or EUROPE that does falcon repairs? He has tried lots, it had a mod in it that I think went bad, and he really does not want to mess with it anymore, just wants to get it fixed..

Re: Help Forget Me Clock

There is a packaged up group of utilities called RTC.zip that contain a program .. maybe you wrote it? that will go to the RTC at address and set and then fetch the time see if it matches? therefore confirming if it is handling the new year number 17,18 ,19 etc.. correctly.

Re: Help Forget Me Clock

There is a quite a long topic about my investigation and a hardware clock: https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=544 ...and I was wrong, the limit is 2059 (year "F9" in pseudo-BCD, so 1900 + 159), not 2027 (1900 + 127, because it is 1980 + 127). Yep.. looking at this....

Re: Help Forget Me Clock

The hint is, that in this 2-digit year formally is BCD, but in reality each digit can be HEX ;) so B9 is a valid year 119 (11 * 10 + 9 * 1), and the internal conversion formula would produce 1900 + 119 = 2019. The old Atari control panel (control.acc) is aware of this, and if you type in year "...

I have a couple of these and I have replaced the batteries, they hold .. but I can only use 2 digits to set the clock year.. so 19 is 1919 .. Is it just a matter of a different program to set the clock? there is a program that will take t...

Re: STE repair

Ok I think this is the key Tzok.

https://ibb.co/MBWSgXS

I think this trace is the Address 17 line that is supposed to go to W104 pin 1..

I have run a jumper from that Via to W104 pin 1 .. seems all addresses are now linked.

I am going to try it.

Do I need a floppy installed to try this??

WHy? I am using 28pin roms.. so nothing will touch the end of the socket. so nothing should be an issue there with a mangled socket.
