Re: Atari ST Diagnostic Disk (Heavily Protected)

Mod,

May I suggest slapping a heavy fine on those who posted source code and make them fix this thread...

Re: Manual for Lattice C

I do have the manuals, about 40mb for all of them. Let me put them in DropBox.

They are still uploading, should be available soon.

Re: Vortex ATonce Plus/286 disk needed

Hey,
I just fired it up with DOS 3.3. Works great. The earlier version of the software that I have doesn't work with FreeDOS. I guess I'll need to make a boot floppy.

Re: Idris OS

Does it require ROM cartridge to run? IMHO this is more interesting: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contiki While it doesn't have X like Idris has, it's supposed to have pre-emptive multithreading, TCP/IP networking (including IPv6), GUI and remote display with VNC... Wikipedia page claims that there...

Re: NVDI 5 from FD

Hmm,
I've never tried to make a NVDI boot floppy. NVDI is pretty big itself.
There are a lot of files in a regular install, not sure if you can pare it down to 1 floppy.

Re: Atari Sh-204

Hi,

I know its an old thread, but the host adapter card is the issue...

http://www.atari-wiki.com/index.php/SH204

swap it out for an ICD host adapter and the hard drive should work.

HD Driver 9.05 'image' function

Hi All, I was trying the partition image function of HD Driver 9.05 (32 each buffers, 400 folder) in TOS 1.04. I tried to image Drive C (511mb) to another drive partition. It looked like it completed the operation, but when I tried to open the drive with the image, i got possibly 4 bombs and a reboo...

Yep. Only 360k from SF-354. You need a SF-314 for 720k!

Re: L54 Stacy board

Okay, 3 legs.

I'm guessing that it is a dual inductor type of device.

1--coil--2--coil--3

the problem is you need to take another one out, measure the coils (in units -- microhenries) with an LCR meter.
You might be able to find (or make) them when you find out the values.

Re: Midex - broken midi ports - where to find?

I think it would be worth fixing, even if you had to put in different case. I'd keep looking, maybe find a non working one for parts or check for other broken steinberg stuff that uses the same type of midi ports. Throwing it away would be the very last resort. trouble is even the pins are in differ...

Re: L54 Stacy board

Hi,

Lxx usually is a inductor, the schematics that I have don't mention what value it should have. I think those are for the joystick ports, but I will have to check again.

Re: Atari Mouse strange behaviour!

Agree. The Atari 8 bit trakball can be converted to a ST mouse/trackball I've done a few and they work great, you can even put a pool ball to replace the roller ball. There is a few pcb cuts and you can wire in a 'hold' switch. http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/bill/photos/atari1200xl_vs_dellinspiron1...
