Re: amstrad cpc 6128

Scandb50 works great, thanks so much for the update. I did notice that scanlines don't seem to work in that mode, but that's not a big deal.

Re: Where to get Atari ST core and newbie questions

I believe the STEroids mode is just STE mode with the cpu running at 48Mhz.

I don't know anything about the analog devices though, sorry.

Re: MiST VGA upscaling experiments

SuperBabyHix, It's true that many (if not all) cores output slightly out of TV standard freqs. Real PAL resolution is 312.5lines per field. I don't remember any core providing exactly 312.5lines(may be only Minimig - but i didn't check its code as it's too complicated). So if core provides only 312...

Re: MiST VGA upscaling experiments

Hey Sorgelig, I found a good deal on the Crestron HD-Scaler (also around $30) so I decided to try it. Image quality is excellent as you said, but I am having another issue that I am hoping is fixed with the newer firmware (mine is definitely on the old as, as you said, it does not play well with the...

I can double check if you need, but I was never able to get any of those modes to work on my 15/31Khz CRT monitor.

Re: MiST inside Amiga 1200 case with keyboard.

This looks fantastic, so clean looking. If I could ask a question, what is the reason for using a SCART to HDMI converter instead of a VGA to HDMI converter? I assume this is not using the MiST's built in scan doubler. Is there an advantage? Does it perhaps have less flicker in the interlaced modes?

Re: MSX core question

Thanks, I'll read through that. I have found an alternative that seems to work fairly well so far. Following instructions found here http://www.faq.msxnet.org/suffix.html I was able to take a multi disk game and make a single larger DSK file using the CONCAT command (example: CONCAT /b disk1.dsk+dis...

MSX core question

I searched quite a bit, so I apologize if this has been answered before. I am using the MSX core for the mist and trying to play games that use more than one floppy disk image. I could not find any MIST specific instructions on this, so I am using the instructions for the 1chipMSX found on this page...

Re: Some weirdness in the AGA core in NTSC

I'll have to try NTSC when I get home tonight as I typically am running PAL. You don't happen to have the DBLNTSC monitor installed do you? I did have a similar problem when I tried DBLPAL. All the DBLPAL modes display as you describe, severely offset to the left and squashed. I have the scandoubler...
