Re: Atari Legend is back! Updates thread...

Is there an interview with Tim Boehlert who worked on the manufacture of the first Atari 600 XL prototype at the New York facility?
He is on facebook and sells his first prototype, it would be very interesting to know his experiences at that time with Atari.

Right now, recording audio with the TT, Cubase Audio and Yamaha CBX-D5; The TT can still teach some tricks to his brother the Falcon.
Solid as a rock, distinctive of Atari.

Re: atari st compatibel mice

If you are going to lose the original look of the Atari mouse: why do you want a compatible one that still has the ball that gets dirty? My favorite option is an Atari mouse with the interior adapted to laser (Lavago - Tim Lenke), but you do not have an original mouse, so I recommend an Olivier´s ad...

Re: Noob hardware questions

Yes, Gotek emulates a floppy disk drive and uses diskette images, and Satandisk emulates a hard drive and can use files and folders normally. The greater or lesser efficiency depends on the TOS (operating system) that usually goes in relation to the type of computer: STfm can have TOS 1.0 up to 1.04...

Re: Noob hardware questions

Peter Putnik has more than a thousand games adapted for HD, CF, SD, Pendrive ... etc; most need 2 Mby or more of RAM. If you spend money on expanding the ST's RAM: do it for 4 Mby. http://atari.8bitchip.info/fromhd2.php Gotek is very limited, to work as hard disk with an SD card there is a "Sat...

Re: TT030 clone - is it possible ?

I'm content not to shoot so high, I can not see how someone clones a TT, but why do not programmers design a driver to use a single current USB printer model? could take advantage of the USB ports of the Lightning of the TT, or of the CosmosEx. I'm not saying that it's free, interested people could ...

If you are going to do an extension of RAM, I recommend you to 4 Mby. Visit for example the eXxos store and send an email: https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/storenew/ The Gotek is for to use floppy images, and I think you lose the original floppy drive (or you will need an external one), it doe...

I was talking about the one that has extra midi ports on it, idk what that one is worth but still definitely don't toss it You refer to the device "LOG-3", which in addition to MIDI expansion also serves as a dongle for Notator SL v3.21, Logic MIDI v2.5 and Logic AUDIO. eMagic or C-Lab LO...

Hello here. Long times ago my dad was used to write music in Notator, which was protected with dongle. Yesterday he had a nostalgic wave, took his Atari from the shelf and it turned out that dongle is lost. I am looking how to make him a little gift - Notator in the emulator. Steem, Stew, any of th...

Re: Atari Legend is back! Updates thread...

I think it would be very interesting to interview Chuck Peplinski and Tom Bajoras, both are on Facebook and are part of the team of the legendary company HYBRID ARTS, which was part of the foundation of Atari as a professional tool for music. With a bit of luck we could even recover and preserve the...
