Re: C64 Core

C64_20190415.rbf works now. I had an FS problem with the SD-Card. Maybe this resulted from using an update script and ftp in parallel. So pro tip: make sure the FS on the SD-Card is consistent and be careful not to write ftp while using script.

Re: C64 Core

Yes, I used the update script. Will try a manual write over tomorrow. I would not think the script is the problem. I will report back the result. 8O

Re: C64 Core

Just to check if I am the only one - C64_20190415.rbf is not giving HDMI out.
C64_20190413.rbf works just fine. Anybody else having trouble with the latest release?

Re: USB Hub board

I will upload step files with new USB hub. Regarding USB bridges - they don't affect the case design i think. You just need to provide 2 holes for microUSB. Or common long hole if gap between PCB and case is too big. I don't have 3d model for no-name microUSB male connector. Great news! Maybe the c...

Re: USB Hub board

@sorgelig: Any change you could again publish the 3d files (step files) for the v1.2 USB board and the mini pcb bridges? That is, if you have them somewhere. I get some requests regarding updates of my case designs and would like to help out. Also congrats to your pcb base case design. Loo...

Also I really dig the photos you took of the cases. Nice explanations on your site too about the chances. Looks really professional. Keep up the good work :) - Hope you will not mind me taking notes of your improvements 8)

Not bad at all. I like your ideas. :D
The M is a bit too agressive imho but the acrylic light pipe thing you have going there is an improvement.

Re: MiSTer - Case Universal v5.2 - 3D printed

So let me explain: With shapeways you got Versatile Plastic which is a durable nylon plastic. It is as good as you can get it when it comes to 3D printing plastics. It is stable to 160 degrees celsisus! Also tough stuff and laser sintered so you will not get any delamination issues or anything. For ...

Re: MiSTer - Case Universal v5.2 - 3D printed

Do you guys know if it's possible to order a 3D printed versoin of this case with better plastic? I orderem nime from Shapeways but it looks... weak, cartoon-like. I'd really like to get a harder version of the case. I have seen someone who printed in ABS. A bit tricky to print for such a big part ...

Doom midi music is not working for me, too. :|

My assumption here is that doom using its one memory manager software bypasses softmpu, But I also read that some get it to run in dosbox using softmpu. Strange.

It means you could change it in the source code (file Dkong_top.v) and then do a compilation of the .rbf yourself.
So you can if you can :)

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

How does one change the info on the different config files in the OSD for this core? All configuration entries now look the the same. Before there were numbers. Do I have to manually edit the minimigX.cfg files? Which bytes to edit?

Maybe down-clocking could be arranged for those early title. But again - I am not the target audience for this :)
Take a look at the following link - those tsr programs could serve your need for slowness.

This is what I get on VGA (no support for YPbPr Cable :( ) GnG_MiST.jpg Have you tried with the rom file I provided? I get the same picture with the rom file you provided. As written before, your python script for building a rom doesn't work. I got it to work now (normal vga). The rom was the culpr...

Re: ao486

OK, I got DOS 6.22 installed and created a 2GB VHD for the DOS partition. I copied over a bunch of old DOS game directories and things load great right off. BUT, everything runs too fast! Is this like DOSBox where you have to slow the core down somehow for the older titles? Never noticed the too fa...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)

No worries  I expected limitations here. I just wanted to push it to the limit :) Anyhow just as a background for those interested - it is not only about sampling frequency as far as I know. It is also about number and length of the samples. So more can give you a more accurate representati...

Re: MidiLink 2.0 looking for testers. (no MIDI devices required)

I did some more tests. Great stuff so far... Would be nice to be able to switch gm soundfonts from within a core - so far I created shell scripts that can be executed from menu core and modify the MidiLink.ini. I tested the following sf2 SC-55.sf2 (original set - 130 MB) 32MbGMStereo.sf2 (32 MB - So...

Ok - I tried to get midi running but failed. No "internal" midi sound. Guess I will have to wait until you update the wiki. It looks like everything is running but I can see in htop that multiple instances of fluidsynth and mt32d spawn. Is this behavior expected? Should it be just one? Di...

Congrats on the progress guys!
I will test it soon. - to my knowledge this kind of hybrid emulation using only one board is unprecedented. Great to see this develop this quickly. :D
