Late to the party, but happy Birthday. You have just over five years on me. As DarkLord, my Birthday is on the 10th of December, so always get shafted on gifts.

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

Curious, and by no means do I wish to offend ggn... I just find it odd for someone who knows how to make changes to bcc and yet doesn't know how to create a patch file. I can't really say much, since I have only fables a tiny bit in python and can mangle my way through bash, but generally speaking.....

It is too bad it wasn't a uuniversal modulator. Then it would be the STFUM. :p

On a more serious note, I should probably get a working STfm at some point, since mine has some serious video issues.

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

Oh, I guess Vincent's Repo isn't updated with GCC7 yet then? For some reason I was thinking it was He has newer versions of binutils already (2.28), but not yet a newer version of gcc. Of course mikro or me could have published it too, but i think he has already plans for that, and his tools page i...

Granted last time I tried compiling something (QED) it couldn't find cflib, which I'm sure I have installed.

Re: gcc 7.1 for the ST series

I'm probably going to regret this (not a fan really) but wouldn't this be a good usage of something like Docker? Creating a docker image for compiling Atari/MiNTlib stuff would be pretty useful, actually. Here I get all excited, then see that GCC 7.2 was being installed when I ran updates on my Debi...

Re: REminiscence flashback for falcon

Kind of silly that a game that ran on the stock A500 gets 'revised' with SDL which makes it too heavy to run on a Falcon. Granted most of the time I see the geniuses here reverse engineer the software and port, rather than creating a modernized version of it. Apparently modernization of old software...

Re: My new, compact Atari -> VGA adapter.

Interesting. Mine does that too on no-input, but only really if I have nothing plugged into it. Reminds me of the 8-bit's 'screen saver' that does the color cycling, yet the text and everything remains, which is the only time I've ever seen burn in, usually just text or window borders, etc. Not sure...

Re: My new, compact Atari -> VGA adapter.

Yeah, I have that one, an NEC 1970NX and BenQ... can't recall the exact model, B920L? That all support 15khz. The picture quality is listed in that order from worst to best for the ST, but the Dell has some dark swirls so it probablynormally has a better picture than mine. But I like the Dell the be...

Re: My new, compact Atari -> VGA adapter.

Yes, but wouldn't that mean that with a GBS-8220 I could connect it up to ANYTHING... since most modern VGA monitors run at 31Khz. But with this adapter, I can connect it to the Dell 2001FP on my desk, which accepts 15Khz input. So no scan doubling required.

Re: My new, compact Atari -> VGA adapter.

Hey, so I'm getting the full treatment on my 130XE, with VBXE adapter, which inevitably will have a DIN13 connector on it which specifically is like the ST's RGB output. Wouldn't this mean this adapter would also work with that? Would be much smaller and nicer than the GBS-8220. I'll test it out whe...

Re: Wanted: Atari Falcon/C-Lab MKII, Atari ST Book Laptop

I am VERY much interested in this (was looking into how hard it'd be not too long ago.) Would this be a direct replacement though for an ST/Falcon keyboard? The TT Touch from Best is a decent way to get a better keyboard, but I would LOVE a mechanical one. Would be cool to get a TT/Mega STe style on...

Re: Wanted: Atari Falcon/C-Lab MKII, Atari ST Book Laptop

I'd just settle for getting a US keyboard for my Falcon. Either that or I'm going to invest in a 3D printer and try to figure out how to produce keys to replace ST/STe keyboards... Either that or with all of the various upgrades in my bird, am almost considering a tower. But I swear I saw someone se...

Re: Menu system for harddisk AUTO folder? ==> RELEASED

I generally use the assumption that most games / demos require you to hold down control upon boot so that only the hard drive driver is loaded, and that of course forces it into ST Low. Of course that defeats the purpose of the menu in the auto folder. Damn, wish I could program, would love to help ...

Re: Bad Mood : Falcon030 'Doom'

Would be cool to get SuperVidel support in Hatari. Not sure how possible that is (I assume it'd require some of the code that went into SV, and I'm not sure how they'd feel about that or not). In the 8bit world, VBXE emulation was implemented into the Altirra emulator. It seems to support all the aw...

I also had this issue (see above posting) did you also have the VIDEL clock sync set up? That is if you have the SuperVidel connected.

Yes, I attached them as the current manual (version 5) on the site shows. http://hencox.gildaelectronics.se/homep ... manual.pdf

Re: 32bit TOS icons?

Apologies.

Back on topic. I did test out Calamus in 32bit colour TOS with the white icons, and it seems to work fine since it's icons are black and white anyhow. So yeah, not a show stopper if it isn't interfering with any actual desktop use.
