Re: Never Ported respectively released for ST

CES 1985... Datasoft annouced they had an ST development system and we should expect ST versions of Bruce Lee and The Goonies by the end of the year. Can anyone confirm the above? Damn, would have loved that! Someone recently did a remake of Bruce Lee for the Amiga/Linux/Mac/Windows: https://rgcdde...

Re: A couple abandonware apps

Hi, I tried getting NVDI from the OP link, but it seems down. So I found it from another source (atariancomputing I think), it comes with a serial number in the ZIP. But there's no mention in the packaged of it being actually abandonware. Is that mention present in the package that was available in...

Re: New Internal Falcon PSU for CT60, CT60e, CT63...

Hi, I remember reading this thread last year and thinking what a great project it was. So did 10p6 ever... a) Release the 3D printable files for the PSU mount and the power/switch mount...? b) Clarify exactly which PSU (or pico power brick) can be mounted to his 'PSU mount'. I'm sure the power bric...

Re: FM Towns coming to MiSTer?

The funny thing is, Microsoft keeps calling it the Windows subsystem for Linux (WSL) which makes NO sense, because that sounds like they're building it under Linux. Way you phrased it makes far more sense, because it's a Linux subsystem for Windows. For the off topic: I grew up the opposite way, I d...

Re: FM Towns coming to MiSTer?

FM towns marty looks pretty interesting. looks like their were a lot of good japanese computer platforms from 199x. I feel like the japanese resisted the dominance of x86/M$ computing far longer than other regions... making things infinitely more interesting. Also, top hat gaming man says that ther...

Re: Porting SOTB to the Falcon

He really can not realize that his attitude, at first place, was way off civilized discussion. It's simple really..... people just cannot be told that they are wrong, and so those people just want to prove that they are right. To prove in the endgame that they are correct and are therefore the grea...

That could be cool, then we could play the Ultima 6 with terrible voice overs on it.

Re: Porting SOTB to the Falcon

Didn't he get pissed off and bail out because everyone said they'd prefer if he worked on a different game to port, since while Beast looks and sounds fantastic, is kind of a demo pretending to be a game? To me it'd be more impressive if he was attempting to port it to the standard STe, since it sho...

I think AR will really kick off, once we can get sunglasses or contact lenses that they can feed advertisements to. That way no matter where you look, Google will find you and sell advertising space.

Ha, AR doesn't let me be a spaceship pilot, roaming the galaxy looking for money. Granted I've thought many times that if we lived in an era where we got to fly spaceships everywhere, it'd literally be like playing that Euro Truck Simulator, with bandits.

Re: FS: Falcon030 Motherboard, 99% working...

Yup, guess this is more of another example of early adopters paying more, as usual. So today's Falcon is absolutely cheaper. Speaking of early adopters, that's what VR still seems to be like 3 years later. Congrats on the sale! The aforementioned VR is one of the reasons I couldn't justify getting ...

Re: Atari TT030 and system V

Very nice tenox! I have seen a few proxies like that, there was one for Amiga.org at some point. My concern with them have always been that there is no encryption going on. Then again for our old systems, that is one of many points where web browsing fails, https.

Klaz has retired to the Black Forest area (town unknown) of Germany and is running a small shop (I think), but I haven't spoken to him in a while about whether he's still running his shop or not. Re: dbug down?

Cyrano Jones posts on Atari Age and is the one doing the ST to Jaguar conversions, I believe. Other than that, good question. I was actually looking for adaptations of the Ultima games, looks like dbug only has Ultima 6. Ha, also would love MIDI patched versions, but I don't know if they work on suc...

Perfect. I understand DNS hiccups, they're all sorts of fun. Though I think I'd come to the conclusion earlier and forgot about it, but I need to recap my 1040STe so I can enjoy the d-bug games!

I should get back to this soonish, I ordered a new UltraSatan, then just sort of stopped working on it as I had other projects. Ordered a Roland SC88Pro, not sure what I can use that for on the Atari, but I think it should be pretty sweet for games.

Ha, maybe once I get my Falcon and A4000 systems sorted and set up correctly, I'll take a pic of my game room, though those go into the RPG/Tabletop room in the corner, my other game room is where I eventually will get my 8bits and various STs set up.

I'm glad my suggestion worked for a few people. Seems like it's just the easiest solution, and extremely easy to make it look nice. Granted now I also have a 3D printer to build up some things with.
