OK, I understand, not a big deal anyways :)

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Could it be possible to add support for 4 IDE devices, like on MiSTer?

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Regarding original Minimig, have there been any improvements to the MiST/MiSTer Minimig cores that would also make sense to “bring back” to a Minimig for Minimig core? :)

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Slightly off-topic, but since most 68k core discussion has happened here... A more generic question about any of the 68k cores (tg68 and m68k) - are any of these cores “FPU ready”? By that, I mean... if 68882 implementation was available on a system (as softcore on FPGA, or even as real chip, or wha...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

Indeed, so why not move on with even fatter agnus and 4MB chipram on the MiST as well as a couple of the USB ports available from within Minimig, for use with Poseidon or Anaiis? :)

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

On the other side, I don't see how you could get HDD support from the Amiga 600 on any Amiga 1000. Hm, search harder :-) There are many expansions that plugs in between the CPU and the CPU socket to provide 8MB of fast RAM as well as a Gayle-compatible IDE interface. These work on A1000 and CDTV as...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

68020+ non AGA describes for example the A3000 and any OCS/ECS system with CPU board, it is just 68000/010 and AGA that never existed together. And I am uncertain if they even could exist together.

The hardware that never existed - 68000 with AGA!

Would that even work with real 68000 and AGA chips? Are there no "32bit issues" :)

Re: Minimig (Amiga) core discussion

Could it cause that the core doesn't run without Slow RAM? If yes, then you finally found that annoying bug :) never encountered such issue. My configs with ChipRAM-only work fine. I have only seen this problem on the MiST, it quite often refuse to boot if only chipram+fastram is enabled, and the w...

Re: Minimig RTG possible?

Nothing can take advantage of it That is not entirely true, I typically use FS-UAE with 8MB of chipram exactly because there are quite a few programs that can make advantage of it, and perhaps most of all - it makes it possible and more easy to use several programs at once with native modes- for ex...

Re: Minimig RTG possible?

So if talk about file transfer in general, i think it can be done other way through virtual HDD similar to WinUAE. And if you do that, chances are that this virtual HDD (which essentially maps to a directory on the SD card?) will be a heck lot faster than hard disk images, and then we stop using th...

If you believe Amiga is pre-internet, then you don’t know what the Internet is. Internet just turned 50, Amiga just 34. IPv4 was established one year before Amiga.

Re: Minimig RTG possible?

What sorta thing are you doing online with an Amiga? Mostly command-line things, rsh combined with arexx and various graphical interfaces. I enjoy blending old with new, configure Amiga frontends for “modern stuff” like cloud services etc. What I would use a fast link for, is to stream data from th...

Re: Minimig RTG possible?

Actually there is no much use for internet connection on Amiga. Well, that's a rather subjective opinion. Without internet connection for the Amiga core, the MiSTer would be pretty much useless for me. Some of us use the MiSTer as a replacement for actual Amiga hardware, and we use it like we have ...

Re: Work on the Minimig core?

For 68000 there is also ljor’s core, perhaps unknown to @fpgaarcade and @tobiflex?

http://www.atari-forum.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=34730

Would it not make sense to use that for the “pure” 68000 Amiga/Atari ST experience, and focus on 020+ for tg68?
