Re: Dongle free Notator?

I see that the same guy is offering a dongle free Cubase 2.
This is probably the infamous MCA hack.

Dongle free Notator?

Hi folks, I've just come across this listing on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Atari-ST-Notator-Version-2-3-software-/120621904331? pt=UK_Computing_Software_Software_SR&hash=item1c15a031cb which purports to be a dongle less version of Notator. However, on closer inspection it could be a repeat of t...

Re: E-Magic Sound surfer

Hi folks,
thanks for the links and downloads.
Has anyone had any joy about making the Surfer prog copyable?

For that matter, is George (GGN) the hacking genius who helped with K-edit still around here?

Best wishes,
Dave.

Re: E-Magic Sound surfer

Many thanks!!!

What I was hoping for is that someone here can provide a working copy of Sound Surfer/ Diver for the day when my master disk gives up the ghost. And can you 'update' Surfer to Diver?

Best wishes,
David.

Re: E-Magic Sound surfer

Thanks for the info guys. something's going wrong somewhere, because I just get blank results in both Navigator and Firefox. Any ideas? Best wishes, Dave. Try with a FTP Client (e.g. Filezilla ), or do it from a command line. Hi again, thanks for the filezilla tip, but I get no connection either th...

Re: E-Magic Sound surfer

Hi Protos,
many thanks for the link, but unfortunately it times out so I'm guessing that it's a dead one.
Any other links anyone?

Best wishes,
David.

Re: E-Magic Sound surfer

Hi again folks,
here's another link to the Emagic Sound Diver and Sound Surfer library:
http://ftp.iem.at/ATARI/Emagic/readme.1st

which perversely has all the details, but no files to download
Anyone know where they might be lurking?

Best wishes,
Dave.

E-Magic Sound surfer

Hi folks, a little while ago the friendly folks on here helped me with Improved Copy Protection on a synth editor K-edit. I've just got hold of an official copy of E-magic's Sound Surfer, installed it on my hard drive, but would also like to use it on my other Ataris and EZdrives. Interestingly enou...

Re: The Atari Music Network is Live!

Hi folks,
much to my amazement I've found a working AMN link here:
http://www.atarimusic.net/atari-music-network/

although how much of it's actually active maybe another matter altogether;
unless this one's a backup?
Anyone know for sure?

Best wishes,
Dave.

RIP Tim Conrardy

:( Hi folks, I've just received news that Tim Conrardy of (Tim's Atari MIDIworld fame) passed away suddenly yesterday. The thread with the news can be found here: http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=244064&postdays=0&postorder= asc&start=0&sid=57196daddd1e51c346f8bd10e1a2f5...

Re: strange behaviour from an EZ135 drive...

Hi Paul, I'm not sure if this is the case. I tried three STEs on this and they all came up with the same result, but when I tried them on a separate hard drive system they all came up fine regarding the RAM. I wouldn't have thought three STEs would all come up with bad RAM at the same time? If insta...

strange behaviour from an EZ135 drive...

Hi folks, I've been using an EZ135 drive with my STEs for around 8 years with no problems..until now. Boot ups have been more and more erratic to the point where it can take 30 mins just to get everything running properly (a bit like some PCS I know! ). Even trying to get to UVK is fraught wit...

Re: improved copy protection

Hi folks, thanks for all the replies. K-edit was produced by Softworld in 1991 (or thereabouts) and nothing has been heard of them since the mid 1990s. As the Kurzweil 1000/1200 range was discontinued in 1992 (replaced by the K2000, which itself no longer supported by Kurz), I think I can place hand...

Re: improved copy protection

Hi folks, an update on this subject: George (ggn of note) has finally got a working copy for me! Many thanks to DA MAN for this, and thanks also from the Kurzweil users and atari MIDI archives groups. You've made a bunch of kurzweil and atari users very happy. Many thanks to all who've posted with s...

Anyone seen George?

Hi folks, has anyone seen or heard from George (ggn-atari god on this forum)? He was helping me with a program suffering from 'improved copy protection' (look for the 'improved copy protection' thread) and I haven't heard anything from him for a while. George are you out there? Many thanks, David.

Hi George,
here's the resulting data file.
I've had to add .txt to it as this site won't allow a data file with no extension -no idea why!

Many thanks,

Hi again George,
thanks for the MSA tip, I've downloaded it, and here's the Kedit.msa file as an attachment. See if this is what you want, and it is taken from the original disk.

Hi Dave, Regarding the fcopy pro: You didn't post what I want. You posted the files copied from the fcopyed disk. What I want is the disk image itself. Hi George, This is the problem I'm having: Pasti can't read the whole disk. How you will image the disk is up to you, but I recommend you use MSA (i...
