Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

I still hope that some of the Core Developer will enable a switch to use clean sync in the 15Khz Core, but I guess the number of people using Multisync VGA is rather small. Unfortunately due to my lack of programming skills I am unable to contribute on that side...

Re: MIST and AV signal

@seastalker:
Testing if you need a sync stripper is quite simple if you know that your monitor is able to handle 15Khz. Just use your VGA cable and switch to 15kHz in one of the 31Khz/15Khz cores. If you don't get a picture with 15Khz you can be pretty sure that it is a sync issue...

Re: MiST VGA Compatibility

Wouldn't it be more straightforward to use VGA/VGA for the Mist instead of SCART? I was thinking of building one with two inputs, Scart and VGA. Still think if it is possible to have a VGA/VGA with the Sync Cleaner that can be switched off/on to have only one cable for all cores...

Re: MiST and RGB Output

it's all configurable at core level... maybe we need an INI setting to say if we want CSYNC or HSYNC/VSYNC when the scandoubler is disabled Am I correct that this is not implemented so far? I am currently testing a cheap LCD that has native 15kHz, 24kHz and 31kHz, but has VGA-in only. It tunrs blac...

Re: SMS core

Yes, best to check with a core known supporting 15kHz and 31kHz switching, because some cores do not. I assumed the ST core is one of them, but as said, I have not used that for a while because I am more an AMIGA guy and it may also haven been switching between Pal/NTSC.

Yes, thanks a lot. I have looked into some of the readme files, I assume "analog" controls refers to the d-sub controls?

Re: SMS core

I was trying out different cores, and I can't seem to get this one to display on my VGA monitor (I know it does support 15khz, as I've used my ST on it.) Sure you used the 15kHz ST core? I haven't used the ST core for a while, but as far as I remember the frequency is set by the STimage? VGA is 31k...

Re: 15 kHz Scart RGB

Hi Gábor,

not sure if this is a question for you, but I assume the Philips has Scart-Composite only, so no RGB.

Unfortunately I can't help with the other questions.

Re: MiST and RGB Output

We are not talking about monitors, but about old TV sets with a SCART connector, and to my knowledge no CRT TV allowed the user any adjustments to the picture size or position. Only if you were a TV technician you could open it and make some adjustments inside, but - as a TV technician told me a fe...

Re: NEW CORE: GALAGA ARCADE

I just saw that there are a couple of other FPGA cores annouced at the fpgaarcade forum and I hope we see some of these here as well. For example there is also a Galaga core, is that the same core as here? Xevious VHDL source code has also been published, http://darfpga.blogspot.de/ . Unfortunately ...

Yes, try a 4:3 non 100Hz first and see if you like that better, it's often that...
However, even in non-100Hz there may be differences, the 1084 is a pretty good monitor...
