Re: Do you select scanlines in settings when using a real CRT?

I am mostly using the MiST in a 31khz CRT and I always use scanlines, it feels right to me, I share this CRT with a old PC with Voodoo 2 for retrogaming. Sometimes I switch to a 15khz CRT and then turn off scanlines.

Yes Gehstock nobody wants to put pressure on you or make you obliged to develop for MiST, I understand that feeling. We appreciate your efforts to keep alive this little community

Re: New SID 8580 implementation for the C64 core

Yes, same problem with Pang, but thanks anyway for Reset option, makes a lot more comfortable to try PRG & D64 software. I am open for donations for sorgelig & gehstock, or any other active developers. Even if they do this for fun or love to the ancient machines and don't ask nothing in exch...

Re: New SID 8580 implementation for the C64 core

Yes, Pang cartridge doesn't work here too... It gives a text saying "COMMODORE PANG CHECKSUM VALUE....$038A" Also it seems to me the sound of the SID 8580 patched core has less volume than original core. As I understand Gehstock doesn't have a working MiST anymore, maybe we can make a boun...

Gehstock wrote:Too much Menu Items for this

I think latest firmwares for the MiST by Sorgelig removed the OSD limit, so now is possible to have more options on OSD menu.

Code: Select all

firmware_180808
===============
- Support more than 7 OSD options.
- Support '?' in requested file extensions.

Re: New SID 8580 implementation for the C64 core

I am doing some tests with this core and a jiffydos rom to speed up loading, for example this core and the last one from sorgelig doesn't load the game 1943 - One Year After (SID 8580 crashes on load and sorgelig one doesnt find the file to load after the command LOAD"*",8). The core from ...

Re: C64 core problems.....

Is there a way to load tape files? In previous versions of the C64 core there was the option to load T64 but I don't know how to run them after the "PRESS PLAY ON TAPE" message. Also the latest core misses the option to reset the core, that was helpful for PRG files. I bet this is because ...

Re: MIST C64 core

Hi, thanks for updating this core, compatibility is very high now. I found a strange problem playing Entombed with a USB pad (RetroLink NES), up and down directions change inventory but doesn't move upwards/downwards the character. With a DB9 joystick works OK though.

I tried this many times also and finally discovered "FAT" format in Windows 7 is not right. Use "SD Formatter" to do it, then copy beeb.mmb first, then core. It does work... I had the same issue. Thanks, that was the problem, I needed to copy beeb.mmb as the first file after for...

I am not abble to make this core to run correctly. Using latest core, BEEB.MMB file in root of a 2gb sd card the BBC displays only "BBC Computer 32K Super MMC" and a blinking cursor but no command prompt so I can't type anything. Tried different cores and SD cards, deleting the beeb.mmb an...

Re: amstrad cpc 6128

As far as I remember this core was compatible with 15khz scart, or at least an old version of the core was. In this mode it ran at 50hz as the original Amstrad, if you run it on a VGA monitor it's running too fast at 73hz making some games jerky and unplayable, I think this is the main problem of t...

Is there a way to map the insert coin and start game to the keyboard or joypad? My MiST has the middle and right buttons broken (they broke after a firmware update, don't know why).

Partly off-topic : news regarding WHDLoad frontends... - there was a new beta of tinylauncher (check https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCC9i6pVMDA) ; a nice new feature is your games collection can be spread over multiple partitions and the list will be merged. Hi, tried this core a bit tonight and for me it is a lot more compatible than before. The only issue is that I couldn't run the frontend iGame (but don't think it worked with p...

For HDF files, you can download the ones we have put on our website for our customers :

You could just zip the hardfiles, they are empty, so if you compress them from 4gb to 80kb you will save a lot of bandwith.
