Re: The Ultimate Atari Magazine Clippings Thread

Have always wanted an Atari Hotz Box - hopefully someday! Some interesting notes: •Jimmy mentioned wanting to produce 300 metal prototypes, though there's no confirmation that happened. •Mick Fleetwood invested $400,000 into Hotz Instruments  •Atari released the rights back to Jimmy Hotz sometime in...

Re: How many Falcons were sold?

Over the course of the last some 16-years, I've never met another person in my entire life, by chance, who owned or owns a Falcon or even ST for that matter. Granted, I'm in a cornfield of a state in Indiana but still. I drove 60+ miles one weekend to meet-up with a group of older gentlemen who use...

Re: Wanted: Atari Falcon/C-Lab MKII, Atari ST Book Laptop

I'd just settle for getting a US keyboard for my Falcon. Either that or I'm going to invest in a 3D printer and try to figure out how to produce keys to replace ST/STe keyboards... Either that or with all of the various upgrades in my bird, am almost considering a tower. But I swear I saw someone s...

WTB: Original Crown of Creation 3D

Not sure if this can even be purchased new somewhere because if so, I don't know of a source but in case someone may be selling their complete copy of COC3D at some point in the future, please let me know as I would like to see about purchasing it.

Thanks!

Re: How many Falcons were sold?

where the hell is everyone? Fermi paradox :-) On a serious note, it's really strange. I could understand that all the ST/E users are hidden because they have their ST for playing games, maybe even still from floppies but Falcon users? What games? If we assume that everyone demoscene aware is known ...

Re: How many Falcons were sold?

The sad thing is that the current number must be scaringly low, too. I can think of several "purges": breaking the unit after use in the 90s, trashing around the 2000s (yes, there were people who would just bring it to a recycle centre), then of course all the broken units due to mounting...

Re: How many Falcons were sold?

I've counted 32 on ebay since afew years ago but I think there were more    Don't know why but this made me laugh out loud and scare the cat. Sort of unrelated, but I got my first Falcon in 1999 off eBay, paid £90 for it with a Mega ST 2 with working monochrome monitor and 3 atari mi...

Re: How many Falcons were sold?

Look what I have found during a random search: http://narkive.com/5wogHqwb.3 Rodolphe Czuba: Number of falcons in the world : around 10.000 to 12.000 + 1.000 to 2.000 from C-LAB after. The complete PCB product from atari corp was 20.000, but only 12.000 were assembled and put in the market pipe. Th...

Re: Three Sparrow Mainboards on EBay

FYI, I convinced the seller to let it go for a considerably cheaper amount so I have both rev.1 and rev.2 boards waiting to be paid & shipped. Not sure whether he is going to include the TOS ROMs, though. So I plan to compare them to the working unit I have and hopefully just populate the missi...

Wanted: Atari Hotz Box MIDI Controller - $2,500

As title suggests, I'm very seriously looking for an Atari Hotz Box MIDI controller in good, working condition - as the intent is to definitely use it. I'm just placing this here in case someone happens to have one they may consider selling at some point in the near future. I wouldn't be able to get...
