It was It was notably used in the NEC PC-8801 and pc-9801 computers and im sure some keyboards and arcade machines too. and besides the 6ch with 4 operators FM and 3ch PSG there's also a 8-bit ADPCM ch with a sampling rate between 2-16kHz and a 6ch drum kit in rom on the chip for a total of 16chs!! ...

I'm actually surprised a FM mod was never produced back in the day it really would have opened up the options for sound and game production on the ST. dose the STe have the ym2149 integrated into another chip idk?? for the ST It might be possible to pull out the ym2149 and replace it with an adapter board with a ym2608 and its DAC. the ym2608 has the ym2149 built into it so it should be sound compatible it would need a driver to use the FM and of ...

try re seating the chips on the motherboard. i have this same issue once and awhile and i just pop open the case and start pushing the socketed chips back down and it seams to work.

Iv only played around with C# and html a little.. Yeah I think your right! ill go with Assembler; then if i wanted to I could branch out and code somethings for the Sega Genesis/mega drive too!

what do i need to start coding for the atari st520?

I want to learn how to code for the Atari ST and i don't know where to start.

there could be a dry solder joint on one of the chips try carefully pushing down on the unsocketed chips too I had a similar problem like this the other day and after some wiggling of chips it started working again i plan on going back over some of the chips with some fresh solder soon though

Well i think i figured it out!!! Turns out i had to tune the Geometry settings on the GBS-8220! here's the setting encase it helps anyone else! well i tested out my floppy cable at the board and it turns out a few of the pins weren't making contact in the socket. ill post back after i get them fixed!

yep i have the hole in the disk for the density select covered and i tried formatting on the ST and it just freezes up. also i dont hear the normal activity noises coming from the drive when its trying to read from the disk I know the disk drive works too i tested it on my PC. do you think the weste...
