Re: Cubase and Control Panel

I just noticed, when starting my Mega STE up without the Control Panel according to SYSINFO.PRG 8.34 the Mega STE is in the 8MHz mode and cache off.

Is there any way to switch from 8MHz to 16MHz and vice versa without using Control Panel?

Re: Cubase and Control Panel

Uh-uh, I tried jookies get clock with the UltraSatan. No prob on the Mega 4. No batteries for internal clock. Cubase saves the right time and date.
Still, to make Cubase as stable as possible don't preload the Control Panel.

Re: Cubase and Control Panel

Just 1 track with real time recorded sysex from Yamaha DX100 is no prob at all. But 20??? 4 meg on Mega STE/STE/Mega ST4(upgrade 2MB) and Mega 4. The Mega STE is my main Cubase machine but the 4MB STE is perhaps better. I tried Control Panel vs. 1.0 I just don't preload the Control Panel anymore. Al...

Re: Cubase and Control Panel

Gave my manual away years ago, thought I knew it by heart. Well, made somebody happy though. Anyway, this is about the Control Panel. Can't recall if there was something about this issue in the manual. The max number of tracks for Cubase 2.x and 3.x is 64. With MIDEX+ and the Atari MIDI output you c...

Re: Cubase and Control Panel

Hi Charles, I found that, when Control Panel version 1.31 is loaded and Blitter on, running Cubase "Cubescore" 2.06r with dongle playing a trackt with a fill of 64th notes there are irregular "hic-ups" all the time. Mouse movement, scrolling, 'Follow Song' etc. = "hic-up&quo...

Re: Cubase and Control Panel

On the Mega ST4 with internal clock and Control Panel version 1.0 and of course 8 MHz every 30 seconds it jumps 6, sometimes 7 minutes ahead.
Above was on the Mega STE also internal clock.

Re: Cubase and Control Panel

Closed Cubase (2.06 with dongle) and time and date are back to normal which at the moment I write this is 21:33 5/18/17. Open Cracked version 3.01. Same thing but load songtime check time CP: 22.17 5/18/17. Save song CP time = 22:23. Close Cubase and open file with saved song, song saved 10:25 pm. ?...

Cubase and Control Panel

If I start Cubase (any version) on my Mega STE/ STE / STf with Control Panel activated (1.31) within seconds, in fact everytime I start CP time has shifted up very rapidly. Just now I on May the 18the I started at 21.05 (local time) and now, 18 minutes later it says already 0.37 5/19/17. So the date...

Re: Steinberg SMP II driver needed

Allright, Uwe Wyers. That's the one I've got, translated into dutch. Second edition. Don't know how i got it. Perhaps when I bought an Atari ST on the Dutch Ebay "Marktplaats". On the back cover it says: fl89, - . That's pretty expensive for a book way back in 1995.

Re: Steinberg SMP II driver needed

Good you asked this question. I just found out that my printed 1.4 manual that came with the hw doesn't say anything about the 1.6 firmware. But the download version here: http://atarimusic.exxoshost.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=249:hardware-manuals&catid=88:hardwar...

Re: Steinberg SMP II driver needed

The SMP 24 manual is about firmware 1.4, the "useless" one which will only wordk with Pro 24. The SW for the 1.6 firmware is integrated in Cubase 2.0 and onwards. So not all possibilities that are available from the 1.6 front panel are mentioned in the 1.4 manual. Also some features from S...

Re: Steinberg SMP II driver needed

Hi kni, did you check the battery? Battery voltage should be at least 3.0v. use a voltage/multimeter. From the beautiful pics you made, which will be in my archive btw :D I can see that your SMP 24 is upgraded, new PSU so no heatsink and a battery holder so if needed changing battery is simple. Afte...

Re: Steinberg SMP II driver needed

As blaylok said, there is no need for a manual for the SMP 2 afaik. The SMP 24 can operate as a stand alone unit but the SMP 2 can't. Also, Cubase 2.0 and 3.10 (cracked or with dongle) have a max of 64 midichannels, only 2.06 has 128 midi channels available. If you need a lot of midichannels and you ...

Re: Monitor splitter?

And notice that there is a female input on the splitter and output on the adapter so you'll need a male/male gender changer or a regular male to male VGA cable. The most common of all VGA cables.

Eh, sorry more than a year later

so you have written the software to use with Steem to be able to use more than 1 midi out port.
May I ask if you distribute, sell to, or perhaps will share the sw with us? I and I guess many others would really appriciate that.

Re: Difference between the scsihosts link96 and link97?

ProDisk 1000 also formatted, ID zero, otherwise I couldn't "get in", extensively tested the HD took 1.5 hours, didn't terminate anything. Tried to but all of a sudden floppydrive failed. Is the LINK96/97 itself terminated as being always the last (ID 07) scsi device in the chain? And is it...

Hello Frank and others, the Link96 is in da house. D-Sub housing glued together! Never mind. Got the lid of the D-sub housing on the chipside off in one piece. PCB lay-out is completely different from the Link97. Tomorrow I will try to get an Apple scsi HDD (1000MB) and a scsi "Prodisk 40MB&quo...
