Re: Anyone getting bombs with Automation floppy disk emulation?

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. My CE is like a miracle inside my ST. It just took me quite some time to figure out how to mod the larger EPROM chips that you can buy off of ebay. But I know how to do it now, so it should be a simple upgrade :-)

Re: Anyone getting bombs with Automation floppy disk emulation?

Awww man, upgrade? I already upgraded my STF from 1.00 to 1.02. *sigh* Well I've done it before, I guess I can do it again. In the mean time though, I can enjoy my almost fully working CosmosEx :D

Re: Anyone getting bombs with Automation floppy disk emulation?

I've done a bit more looking into my situation. I do believe that I don't have enough operating RAM to run my CosmosEx. I downloaded a Pompey Pirate disk (101) with Knights of the Sky. When loading the disk with my ACSI plugged in, once loading CD_DD and the other not. I get a message that theres no...

Re: Anyone getting bombs with Automation floppy disk emulation?

Ha ha ha, I didn't know there was any other way to do things but cleanly :) Well alright, I did some more testing and found some things. But first, here are some stats. I have a 1040STF with TOS 1.02 running. Not my original TOS, but I did some wiring to make the chips all work. As for my RAM I have...

Anyone getting bombs with Automation floppy disk emulation?

Hey guys. So I just got my wifi working recently, so I started downloading games through the floppy emulation software. I have downloaded about 10 or so zip files on my USB thumb drive. But every one I mounted would not load properly. I either get three to four bombs, with sometime getting a few mor...

Re: WiFi setup

I just wanted to add a comment to this subject. I have had trouble getting wifi to work since I've owned my CosmosEx. I have left my wifi open since I have installed my router, and a person on a board suggested that I implement a password. Sure enough, after I implemented it, put it into the Network...

Re: New transparent CosmosEx case for 3D printing

Ahhh, so here is an interesting question for Jookie. I have the first version of the CosmosEx, using Pi version Model B. With this latest revision it is using Model B+ and adding on two more USB ports, which would be handy. Could I take out the boards in my original case, print this cool case out, b...

I haven't gotten around to posting about this, but I have the same problem. I get the same result with that exact process. I'm downloading to my USB thumb drive. Are you using that or a SDcard hard drive?

Re: Web browsing with CosmosEx?

Good to know that its making progress. And when I said facebook, I meant the m.facebook.com. I would think that the text based site would be easy on the Pi. No facebook live though, not by a long shot.

Web browsing with CosmosEx?

Hey guys. Since our Raspberry Pi is connected to the Internet and all, I was wondering if there was a way to browse the Web on our STs. Nothing complicated like HTML5, but easy stuff like e-mail, facebook, twitter, atari-fourm. Is it possible? Thanks.

For Sale: Two Atari SM124 Monochrome Monitors with Boxes *SOLD*

Hey how guys. I have two monochrome monitors that needs a good home. It only displays in high resolution for Atari ST/F/M/E and I think it should work with Megas and Falcons too. It works best with using word document programs or working with the ever popular Cubase. The first one is pictured in the...

Hey guys. I recently tried this process and it worked great for me. Over on AtariAge, I made a long post with the process of how I did it. Hopefully this should make it clear and easy for people. Anyway, hope it helps you out. Later. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/249091-falcon-scartrgb-to-hdmi/?p...

Hey guys. This wiki is great, I'm going to start looking into these monitors. But I think I'm missing where to obtain the cable for it. Is there something I can buy or do I have to make something myself?

Re: read-errors on disk-images using floppy disk emulation

Hey there. I am having a couple of long time problems with my CE for my 520. I have to use it as an external drive as well. I mostly have connectivity problems, but my other big one is I can't run any programs off an emulated floppy. I get an error message like this: http://troyh.us/FTPshare/pieprod...

Re: Cosmos Ex setup as external floppy drive?

I've got a bit of a different situation from you. But I have found that when the CE is powered by a USB plug, some features don't work if the plug isn't giving it enough power. For example one plug didn't have the internet connection work, but a different one did. But I have found you can't go wrong...

Re: Issue with images and running it on a real ST

It may be some bug in TOS 1.00 . And Steem produces not 100% proper blank images. Go here http://atari.8bitchip.info/floimgd.php And at bottom is DL 4 floppy images . Use 720 or 800K images with Steem, and after adding files write on floppy. Or better: no need for Steem. Add files with FloImg self ...

Issue with images and running it on a real ST (resolved)

Hey guys. I am having some copying/deleting files problems using Steem and my real ST. I want to create a utility disk that has useful programs on it (KKcmd, ICD Pro, CosmosEx programs, etc.) to use on my real machine. So in Steem, I create a blank floppy image and use KKcmd to copy files that I hav...

Re: Atari 520 ST crash and bomb issues

Hey guys. I did some tinkering around and found a solution. I opened my machine and pushed the chips further in place, but that gave me no better result. I then took a look at my floppy drive. I don't own a SF354, I have a box with a normal floppy drive inside. I have a cable that plugs from the bac...

Atari 520 ST crash and bomb issues (resolved)

Hey ho guys. I own a very early ST machine and I have been having some problems with it over the past four months or so. I dono if this is possible, but I have a request for the floppy emulation. I would like to mount a floppy in the first slot permanently so that its in the slot every time I turn on the CE box. Is there a way that I can do that in the Atari software? Thanks for all of your work, later.

Anyone in the Dallas/Fort Worth area?

Hey guys. I'm looking for anyone in the DFW area that has a working ST. I bought a CosmosEx from Jookie (which I assume most of you guys are aware of) and have been having trouble getting it to work on my machine. It will operate for about five minutes but then it has a connection problem and will s...

Re: compatible Atari models with CosmosEX

TOS 1.00 is a completely different story, by the way... Hey ho guys. I just wanted to weigh in on my 520 TOS 1.00 machine. I've been having problems with my box since I have received it. Some were problems like most people that were fixed with the first firmware updates or two. But I seem to have a...
