Re: Falcon ST-RAM 14MB boards

I see you have new boards so I'm planning on making an order this weekend. I do have a 16 meg SIMM. Before I do, I assume this will work.

Package Size Type Pins Speed Chips per side Sided

Re: Falcon ST-RAM 14MB boards

Great. I went to your site and also saw some other stuff I'm interested in so I'll keep my eyes open for when these come available. I should think the PCB's will be here around the end of the month (china new year holiday holding things up currently) . Then its just a matter of time to assemble and...

Re: Falcon ST-RAM 14MB boards

Yea, I'm interested in one. Price and being able to use my shielding are my only concerns. Its a tight fit, but I've had a similar one in my falcon for years. I just have some thick card on top to make sure the metal shielding doesn't touch the top of the board at any point. Incidentally, I have go...

Re: Hatari 1.8.0 has been released

Hello, I can't find capsimage but I don't care: "capsimage : v4 not found, install it to use .IPF, .RAW and .CTR disk images" For the others, they're not really necessary either: readline : found, enables history/completion in the debugger portaudio : not found, install it to enable the F...

Re: Hatari 1.8.0 has been released

Sorry to bring this around to the beginning of the thread but I'm trying to compile Hatari 1.8.0 onto Mint 17.1 and I'm getting a few warnings that I haven't been able to solve. During the "Make" process, these three libraries (or Packages, I can't remember), "readline, portaudio, and...

Re: Code::Blocks IDE and m68k-atari-mint cross-tools

I ended up downloading QTCreator to give it a shot. I guess I better spend a little time figuring this out before I start asking questions. You know, RTFM. :D
Thanks for the suggestions.

Code::Blocks IDE and m68k-atari-mint cross-tools

I know I read that someone got these two to play nice. For some reason, I ain't that sharp. Anyone have any instructions on how to get these two to work well together? I think it would be a nice dev environment to work in. If you have a better Windows IDE, I'd be interested in your suggestions. I'm ...

Has anyone tried AHCC and Hatari. Just compiling the Hello World app crashes the emulator most of the time. Just wondering.

Re: Magic 6.20 page

Great! I'll test it tonight. Also, I'm sorry for not getting back to you about the partition type. I've been working on a bathroom project and when I've had a chance to get on my Falcon I've ran into out of memory issues. Jinnee resource files wouldn't load and I couldn't even run SysInfo unless I d...

Re: Magic 6.20 page

So, just so I clearly understood you, the only differences between the MAGIC.RAM file I provided you and the ones you posted are regional settings? I will check on partition I chose when I get home tonight. Unfortunately, I did happen to use Cecile 2.22 to originally partition it into 512mb partitio...

Re: Magic 6.20 page

If you mean under that 'yours' my hard disk driver - it may be with older versions. Latest ones are good with MagiC . I tried both of those MagiC files you provided. The US version first and then the UK. In both cases I still get that error I previously reported. As usually, I backed up my existing...

Re: Magic 6.20 page

I already did that comparison and inserted changes in US version. I guess that it is some Falcon patch. Not much bytes. Hopefully tomorrow will be able to test it on Falcon. IDE/CF card for sure, and maybe SCSI test, but it will need more time to write MagiC on SCSI disk - anyone here interested fo...

Re: Magic 6.20 page

Just an update. I was able to get around the error by using a different MAGIC.RAM file. It's in German but it works. I'm checking to see what the differences are between that one and the US conversion from 8BitChips. The good news it's possible to use MagiC v6.2 on a vanilla Falcon. Props to TheName...

Re: Magic 6.20 page

Just an FYI for those that plan to install MagiC on a stock Falcon and to use Cecile HDD driver. I was not able to boot into it. I tried MagiC v5 and v.6.2 (8bitchips version and then applied US patches) but I was still getting a black screen. I then tried HDDriver v7 and although I received that &q...

I don't suppose anyone got a copy of Sounddoctor's fix. He hasn't been on in quite some time and I had hopes his fix would resolve my issue with my stock Falcon and MagiC 6.2 (US English).

Hey all, TheNameOfTheGame was helping me with this but we both hit a wall. When I reboot or just run MAGXBOOT.PRG, I get a black screen. make sure when testing falcon hardware pcb you have the base metal on it and the foil strip on the rear if you dont ground all sockets the falcon will never boot if you add a test cart its like a mad screen full or badly knitted out of scraps of red and blue and green wool but rs232 to a pc reports...

Re: Is this trash? (in Los Angeles)

Yes, not trash. Are you in LA or somewhere near it? I'm in WA so the monitors might be too expensive to ship but I do head down to Redlands once a year so I might have a way to pick the stuff up and ship it myself.
